Is there a sandbox mode in this game? or a game mode that don't have all the stress of having everything balanced and keeping gods coming in? I'm new to this game, and based on what I have learned from your videos it's SO much to deal with...
Every second I watched this (and all your other videos) the more I want this game, this might be my next SimCity fix game I need. I can't believe I over looked this.
Just wonder, how did you get such a huge +ecobalance? I'm really struggling even getting that balanced at 0 in my game, so getting to 250 plus seems really impossible. :S

Tycoons are terrible. They beat the shit out of your resources at the beginning, but their resources run off with your Eco balance at the end, never to be seen again.
Use hotkeys. Ctrl 1 for your command ship at the beginning of the game is so useful, and it is for something like 'kraken' too. easy way to find them, quicker than cycling through the all ships. You dont over-produce beacuse it means you have to concentrate on seling your goods manually and not progressing in the game. Also another reason why you dont over-produce is that the buildings coupled with power and eco-balance buildings burn through your income plunging you into debt. Then you panic.
love these videos man, Great effort and production value put into it. I also enjoy your commentary, Unlike others it is actually informative and fucking hilarious. I still laugh at the "haha - haha- ...fuck." from the first episode. Your a genius.
I watch a lot of lets plays, and this series is the best I have ever seen. I have ever seen. I only know of you and GetDaved for quality strategy game lets plays, apart form some chans that focus on a single game like X3 or Distant Worlds. Anyway.. the point is these were awesome and I'm subbed and hope to see more, there is so much more to gaming than MW3 kill vids... I hope you do more of these... Try Grand Ages of Rome (heh heh)

@cavalyn islands will have different graphics depending on your eco balance and I believe other factors; such as if you have smog and so on. Essentially it's to indicate how clean or polluted the air is.
A sad day when I can find NOWHERE bettert to ask a technical question. But I have this on pc, through Steam, and i was wondering if you changed anything to make your landscape more green? My own islands, trees and everything are all a sickly yellow, as though the sun was shining not ten feet above my buildings, washing everything out... Has anyone had this problem and managed to solve it? I am running everything on High, which my system can handle. :P

If you'd be interested in this, I could send it to you. Somebody else already made one but it had many errors so I made my own.

@ObliviousMin He's the same GreenCHEEZ on the ubi forums. He has a sticky thread there that has a ton of information and in fact that's how I came across the first production calculator spreadsheet. A lot of those german layouts are pretty slick, I just wish he would upload the images to the wiki. There's already a lot of layouts on the Anno 2070 wiki under Building_Layouts. @Zalman1337 Dude, my reply is above, right on top. This reply here, I just want to address the issue of file format. You may want to save it as an 'Excel' file instead of ".ods" which makes most of your script, run errors. Open office can still operate and maneuver within Excel file format, so I hope you can use that format to reach a wider audience. I noticed that the production calculator in the German calculator has severe errors (4veg +1 rice for health food which is wrong).

I removed my last two versions because I've been working on another calculator based on centralized production and I only have a little bit of formatting left to finish.

You kept mentioning that you always had to load up ships manually to send off goods once an hour or so to sell overproduction. One thing I do is have a dedicated trade route to pick up 5-15 of a good that I am making too much of and set up auto trade routes to sell it to NPCs. I tweak the route and it's goods when I need to as production changes
@theflyingass Tycoons are easy if, once you reach Executives, you colonize another island and establish an Eco city and reach Executives as well. You can then replace of all your Tycoon power buildings with wind or solar power (thus removing your dependance on constantly consuming coal and/or uranium). It's also easy to reach 500+ Ecobalance (which confers the maximum bonuses) if you outsource all your production buildings plus it gives more room for residential development.

I'm not a big fan of city building games. Usually my dwarves just start killing each other before i even get iron. But this looks like it has a nice, relaxing pace and less homicidal insanity than other similar games I've played. I might actually buy it because of your videos. If I can find the time and money at least.

One thing I do is have a dedicated trade route to pick up 5-15 of a good that I am making too much of and set up auto trade routes to sell it to NPCs. I tweak the route and it's goods when I need to as production changes

@theflyingass Tycoons are easy if, once you reach Executives, you colonize another island and establish an Eco city and reach Executives as well. You can then replace of all your Tycoon power buildings with wind or solar power (thus removing your dependance on constantly consuming coal and/or uranium). It's also easy to reach 500+ Ecobalance (which confers the maximum bonuses) if you outsource all your production buildings plus it gives more room for residential development.

Hi again! Silly thing for me to point out but I note you put underscores in all your names of ships and whatnot, not sure if this is a deliberate choice by you but you can actually use spaces, you don't need the underscores. (Also I sent you a message a couple of days ago too long for a comment if you haven't seen that yet.) Enjoying the videos, learning new stuff myself too :)

I'm not a big fan of city building games. Usually my dwarves just start killing each other before i even get iron. But this looks like it has a nice, relaxing pace and less homicidal insanity than other similar games I've played. I might actually buy it because of your videos. If I can find the time and money at least.

Really appreciate these videos, they have helped me no end - especially having not played the Anno 1404 series. Would love to see similar style videos of all the factions, like tycoon etc.

I am actually a civil engineer with an interest in city development, I came across this game by accident. I really think this game has potential to be used more than just gaming. The concept of city development and modelling used in here is quiet interesting!
