  • And he has the smaller wheel that is way harder than those larger diameter wheels!

  • holy shit... respect for this guy

  • This exercise is really awesome!!!! I don't understand why i didn't do this for all these years!!!!! I discovered it too late!!!! I did always situps and stuff but i never felt anything more in my abbs till i tried this exercise.. a felt it a few days!!!

  • So cool!!

  • Is this machine pure for the abbs?

  • @Fadur2 No, its more of a core workout.

  • @shone90sm what do you mean with "core workout"?

  • @Fadur2 Exercise for mid and lower back, abbs (obliques and rectus abdominis). These are major core muscles. And peripherally: hips, shoulders and neck.

  • I can hear his bones cracking

  • Right on!!!! Keep it up. I don't even see people at the gym that can do that like you do!!!! Inspirational.

  • dayum u can really hear his bones crackle! :o

  • this could have easily been a 1-minute exercise video... with 5 minutes of this guy talking... I love it when old people talk... they've got the best stories and the best jokes!!!

  • BEAST!

  • Gosh! ur the Man! at ur age,, wow! i'm 25 and i can only do 20 reps heheh

  • damn i would love to look like this at 71 years old.

  • "getting to old for dis" hehe good job man good job.

  • No running, walk one hour every day and do front squats with the kettlebell. The TRX system is also good.

    Regards.

  • That sounds like a great workout John, do you do any running or any leg work like squats in your workouts? thanks again for your great information, take care.

  • Many thanks, I train every day for 40 minutes to an hour. I do 15 mins. dynamic stretching, a lot of pushups on bars. I do a kettlebell workout once a week (16kg.) and do Turkish getups everyday with the kettlebell. About 80 rollouts including 20 one arm; not perfect yet. I don't do many standing rollouts at the moment but would like to get to twenty, can't waste too much time at 73! I have a TRX ssystem that I intend to use much more. regards John

  • That is amazing, Im 52, and John your in great shape, if you dont mind me asking what is the rest of your workout like, how many days a week do you workout and what other exercises do you do? Thanks again for a great video.

  • i can do only 25, omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing

  • WHAT THE?!

  • OMG WTF.........I can barely do 12...

  • It's hard to believe that perfect physique is that of a 71 year old man.

  • Great inspiration, I am 45 and not nearly that ripped. I especially love how calmly he does it. Way to go! Puts my dad to shame.

  • Amazing, inspired me to get an ab-wheel,can't do any standing and a pathetic 20 off my knees and i've got 30 years on him.

  • jesus christ, what a machine.

  • Sir, I reiterate...your dad is a beast lol

  • i can do five ab roll outs =[

  • Sir, my hat goes off to you. You are indeed a legend. You have my respect. Keep healthy. Peace.

  • So do you do this workout everyday or do it once then the day after that do it again like skip a day after another? or just do this workout everyday?

  • This is really inspiring thanks so much for sharing. It is so motivating that I embedded it on my website at leanprimalfit I hope I can be in as good a shape as your dad one day. Awesome

  • Well thanks for this. Just as I got all proud of myself for doing 12 I see a video of a guy like 3 times my age doing loads more and getting so much closer to the ground with each one too. Is he a mutant? Cos that would make me feel better.

Sigh, back to the wheel grindstone.....

Seriously though, that guy is awesome!!!!!! You see 20 year olds with worse muscle tone. :D :D

  • This dude should be deemed, Epic old man #2, look at his abs!!

  • Good god, he's a machine!! Thanks for uploading this. If this doesn't inspire people to look after their bodies nothing will!!

  • Hulk Hogan!

  • AMAZING!!! What a living testament to a healthy lifestyle of good nutrition and exercise.

    VERY WELL DONE!!!

  • Impressive muscular development for a man his age as well. Well done!

  • From a woman's point of view who is almost half his age - that's hot...really hot.

  • what a inspiration

  • When I grow up, I wanna be like him :)

Being that fit and able at an age where others are already falling apart, sedentary and powerless is a true achievement. I wish your father another 50 years like that and beyond.

  • Standing ab roll-outs are my favorite core exercises. I aim to be a fit man well into my 70's, too. Congrats to your father. Major kudos. And to the poster who asks what's the point--you, sir, will find out when you're 71 and can barely roll out of bed.

  • Cant mess with that. At 71? Superb.

  • Good stuff man, thanks for posting.Your old man is in great shape. Whats his diet look like?

  • I am 21year old male, and I wanna be like him when I become 71, or even half good as him.

  • sorry, he did do the same amount in chin ups, a 300lb squat and 1000 press ups with no arms, i just didnt upload them!

    what a pointless comment

  • @deerstalkerm3 wait he's got no arms?

  • @deerstalkerm3 Well, know that this clip and this man have lit the fires of a great many people, who greatly appreciate and seek to imitate his acheivments, which show that age is mrely a number, as Jack Lalane used to say. He is living proof of something that I am seeking, God willing: to be strong, healthy, and energetic in old age. I imagine that he started his development fairly early and that he maintained his training regimens.

  • @thesku11s The point is that this is one of the greatest resistance exercises out there for your core. How do you not see the value?

  • @thesku11s

Are you serious? You don't get the point? With the most respect I can muster maybe it is because you have a light grasp of the human body. Go spend some time doing body weight only training with boxers, MMA athletes and I think you'll find your weight training has not done as much as you think for your core.

  • @oevzA1oL

How do I quantify the functionality of my "core" ?

This is an respectable feat, dont get me wrong. Just that I dont get why anyone would have the patience to achieve it.

  • @thesku11s

Quantification - There are quite a few core strength and stability tests on the web. If your only goal is to look good and/ or lift more in squat, bench, etc. then you could probably care less about rows.

If you're looking for strength, flexibility and endurance in situations such as martial arts, boxing, climbing and daily life activities the core can be extremely important.

As you know people set goals to measure progress, maybe their goals are not the same as yours.

  • @oevzA1oL

Thanks for the effort of the reply. I quantify the functionality of my "core" by my ability to do physical tasks such as lifting weights/running/sports.

People interested in a six pack would quantify it by looking at their abs. The only people who would quantify it by these "tests" or number of ab wheel rollouts. Is people who want to be good at the tests and ab wheel rollouts. Neither of these things can guarantee any crossover to real-world physical tasks.

  • @thesku11s you couldn't a quarter of what this man does limp dick

  • @thesku11s WOW thats a dumb commment sere thta there core muscles thatd be why num nuts he should go from his feet tho

thatd be somthing that should happen

  • Thank you for the comment. A little body control pilates, plenty of pushups, stretching. Not too much food; very little red meat, fruit, cereals, yogurt daily. No alcohol or smoking. Take care

  • This is extremely impressive. What is your diet like? What sort of other training do you do?

  • Uncle John, I'm very impressed, looking ab fab!

  • wow. five stars all the way. I hope I can be like that when I'm 71. Damn..he looks for fit than I am and I'm 26!!!!

  • for = more

  • people like u are the ones who keep young ones like me to be really motivated to work out. keep it sir :)

  • wow he goes alll the way down and come up like its nothin

  • what?! man it cut...keep it up

  • dam he a beast wow i only hope i live to be that age and in this good of shape 100 ab rolls anybody who have done one know the pain wow

  • I can't decide if I should be motivated, or demoralized seeing this....
