I am unemployed and have a degenerative disease in my spine that is leaving me less and less mobile. The current state of the government has led me down a road of nothingness. I have no health insurance, no job, and Ive been repeatedly denied disability and any for of aid to get me back to a solid state of being. 2008 was the most difficult year for a lot of people.
For the people who haven't been through many hardships, this seems like just some speech, just some more words. But for people who have been at the bottom, these words help us all to begin to have hope, and begin to build new lives in spite of our obstacles.
I hope we can all keep going, keep working, and keep making a better future for ourselves, no matter our hardships.
Obama plans to create 90% in the private sector while 10% of government job are going be saved by helping states fill in the gaps in their budgets. What this means is Obama plans will add nearly Zero government jobs so it will give him cover from conservative critics that government is getting too involved. But it could anger some from the liberal left but to me it's a good start and I believe will work. So the plan that will be introduce by both congress and the senate will pass next month.
I hope President Obama succeeds. We must all get behind him and make sure he is successful. My main concern is the consistent attempt to lower our expectations. Please just go to work and have faith in the American people, we must work together and must succeed together. Have faith in the American people.

As a plan B I like these ideas, I hope that we will begin with the A plan. You remember that one I am sure, it's the one which starts with us bringing home the military and combating corruption within our government system. All I'm hearing is construction jobs, construction jobs, and more construction jobs. Short term and hasn't worked since the 40's when hardly anyone had an education. Cancel all debt exceeding $1,000, everyone now owns their homes and cars, immediately increasing purchasing power for consumers. Give banks and small businesses effected by the cancellation tax exemption from 2008-2010. Raise interest rates to 7-8% and institute a 10-15% flat tax on all income, individuals and business.

2. I think you should withdraw your nominations of Senator Clinton as Secretary of State and Senator Daschle as Health and Human Services Secretary. Those jobs should go to people more specifically qualified for them and to people with better demonstrated administrative competency. Senator Daschle could be a senior White House Advisor.

Priorities should be:
- Stop the foreclosures.
- Inteligent regulation of all financial services.
- Tax cut for middle class with a reverse tax for the unfortunate who want to work but don't have a job.
- Make health care more efficient going beyond computerizing medical data. Guaranteeing a minimum level of health insurance for all.
- Fund NCLB. Pay good teachers and fire bad ones. Federal standards. Funding independent of neighborhood income.
- Nuclear. Cleaner coal. Better grid.

We over here in Germany are impressed with Mr. Obama, if the Americans can unite behind him, it is possible to have a turnaround nobody will think possible today.
Here is a person who comes across as genuine and caring, and I believe this is a trait in Americans we have missed for a long time.

If he really wanted to stimulate the government all he has to do is stop taxing the American people and small business for a year and after the year is up keep taxes very low. The more money people have in their pockets the more the economy will grow. What he is doing is going to prolong this recession.
A "radical" step such as legalizing Marijuana will also create a billion dollar industry here in the US. That means jobs and taxes... but he wont. Ask him why and he doesn't give a reason.

I am unemployed and have a degenerative disease in my spine that is leaving me less and less mobile. The current state of the government has led me down a road of nothingness. I have no health insurance, no job, and Ive been repeatedly denied disability and any for of aid to get me back to a solid state of being. I hope that sometime during these plans that President-elect Obama can see that my and others ways of life that are like mine now will just lead to nothing but destroyed hope.

I predict that the further america concentrates on money and jobs, the farther down we will fall. America is becoming more and more prominent as a country sized business rather than an actual country. Notice the terms he was using, it's as if he's talk to the board of trustees. America has a staggering chance to fail if run on money bases. But if America becomes a family we can't fail no matter what the situation, because when hard times hit families they become stronger and closer than ever.

2008 was the most difficult year for a lot of people.
For the people who haven't been through many hardships, this seems like just some speech, just some more words. But for people who have been at the bottom, these words help us all to begin to have hope, and begin to build new lives in spite of our obstacles.
I hope we can all keep going, keep working, and keep making a better future for ourselves, no matter our hardships.

Obama plans to create 90% in the private sector while 10% of government job are going be saved by helping states fill in the gaps in their budgets. What this means is Obama plans will add nearly Zero government jobs so it will give him cover from conservative critics that government is getting too involved. But it could anger some from the liberal left but to me it's a good start and I believe will work. So the plan that will be introduce by both congress and the senate will pass next month.

America's Rich need to pay PERIOD. Part of the reason we are in this economic mess is that the rich has recieved serious tax cuts from the Bush administration.
Everytime the republicans de-regulate, the economy goes into the toliet. And everytime the Democrats regulate, the economy gets better.

As a plan B I like these ideas, I hope that we will begin with the A plan. You remember that one I am sure, it's the one which starts with us bringing home the military and combating corruption within our government system. What I like most about plan A is the way it pursues changes in our unfair trade agreements. Plan B really sounds exciting but I do hope you will start off with the plan so many of the people who voted for you heard you talking about during the election. Good luck.

Unfortunately, President elect Obama has not addressed the foreclosure problem. I know of a friend who was layed off from a county job & his home is at this very moment been put up for foreclosure. The bank couldn't give a damn about him, his wife or infant daughter & yet our moronic government has bailed them out & no one in government seems to have a clue where these hundreds of billions of dollars to them has gone.

All I'm hearing is construction jobs, construction jobs, and more construction jobs. Short term and hasn't worked since the 40's when hardly anyone had an education. Cancel all debt exceeding $1,000, everyone now owns their homes and cars, immediately increasing purchasing power for consumers. Give banks and small businesses effected by the cancellation tax exemption from 2008-2010. Raise interest rates to 7-8% and institute a 10-15% flat tax on all income, individuals and business.

1. I think you should work more christian themes into your weekly address. You'll lose nothing and gain something.
2. I think you should withdraw your nominations of Senator Clinton as Secretary of State and Senator Daschle as Health and Human Services Secretary. Those jobs should go to people more specifically qualified for them and to people with better demonstrated administrative competency. Senator Daschle could be a senior White House Advisor.

We could save a TON of money by pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan. On top of that, we could save even more by ceasing ALL foreign aid to Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other dictatorships.
