you should try using a green screen its much more easy, green poster boards are about 99 cents a piece, they work pretty good.

@JSAirways better solution is to pull string with the submarine and make video, than edit it to cut out the stand. But it takes much more skill in video editing. Could be faster than editing that number of pictures to delete background though

I'm also not sure why everyone is complaining?. LEGO is about innovation and imagination, creativity and learning. If you have access to a later version of After Effects, you can do this really quickly and easily with the rotobrush tool as well. Then, find an animated water background, or make one yourself using the Psunami plugin! ;-)
