However, if iconography is so important to you, you should know that there are many ancient epictions of Jesus + His disciples in paintings and Frescos even from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. The good point about the first Zeitgeist movie is that it tries to tell people that they should not blindly believe everything they're told. I think it is a healthy practice to question things, I have questioned my own beliefs and that questioning in itself has reinforced them.

This is old news. It is true than the vast majority of religions(including satanic) are reinventions of these ancient practices, Catholicism is an obvious example . However not all Christians incorporate idolatry or the worship of pagan gods (in there various forms) in their faith. To suggest so shows ignorance of the faith some hold dear, and proves nothing.

However, if iconography is so important to you, you should know that there are many ancient epictions of Jesus + His disciples in paintings and Frescos even from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. @Grambo4 First of all, let me mention that Im a christian person. I believe in Jesus and His message and I think it's been misinterpreted at least, by many different cultures throughout history. The good point about the first Zeitgeist movie is that it tries to tell people that they should not blindly believe everything they're told. I think it is a healthy practice to question things, I have questioned my own beliefs and that questioning in itself has reinforced them.

What I see is that he is able to transcend the limitations imposed to us all by the current system, and he attempts to use technology as a tool to create all sorts of stuff that could improve people's lives. I do not blindly believe everything they say. I just see, from a technical perspective, all the deficiencies that many of the current practices have, and how they could easily be improved.

Research what it claims in its religion section - go to secular sources even, and you will see that what the movie says is almost entirely nonfactual. But it never claims to just try to 'get people to think'; it's simply presenting lies as truth. Sadly, people are swallowing up the lies without discretion.
