The journalist was correct to confront and sidestep this obvious and cynical evasion of the questions provided. Obama deserves no more special treatment than the same respect shown by reporters during the Bush years. People forget how very rough those Bush interviews were!

Also,Obama says that you will be able to keep your current doctor and insurance, but does that mean you wont be taxed for his health care at the same time? Mostly because of the Tax Cuts passed in 2000. Ill-responsible lending practices and poor regulation caused the housing and financial markets to sink in the last 2 quarters of Bush's administration. Bret was fully within his rights to keep pressing a pointed question the president obviously would prefer not answering but instead reiterates prepared policy statements not at all within the line of questioning presented him. The journalist was correct to confront and sidestep this obvious and cynical evasion of the questions provided. Obama deserves no more special treatment than the same respect shown by reporters during the Bush years. People forget how very rough those Bush interviews were!

Excellent job. So many journalists will allow Obama to ramble and spin, Bret here held him accountable to stay focused on the questions asked. Freedom of the press was put in place by our forefathers in order to keep or government in check, not to allow government to use as a stage to spread propagada. This is why Fox's rating are as high as they are. Those in America that can see past the lies of Obama and Bush etc. know where to look for truth and balance in journalism.

The Pres. was more respectful than most people would have been. Most of us would have either punched this reporter or left due to the mulitple interruptsion. It's ok to push the Pres. but wait until he's done speaking. The reporter just wants to BE the news, make a name for himself. He's an entertainer. If he wasn't interested in the Pres' answers, he should have just done an editorial.

Look, the journalist was not being rude or disrespectful. He was doing his job. As a reporter in this situation, you have a limited time to cover as much ground as possible. Obama was filibustering and tap dancing around every question. Bret had to interject, stay on topic and hold him to the tough questions. This is not a Mainstream media reporter or MSNBC hack that sits there looking doe eyed at this guy. This is how is its done.

@baksin Well thank you people of Zimbabwe. Let help you understand this. The US had job economic growth for 4 quarters after the mild recession of the 2000-2001. Mostly because of the Tax Cuts passed in 2000. Ill-responsible lending practices and poor regulation caused the housing and financial markets to sink in the last 2 quarters of Bush's administration. Bush allowed the Democratic controlled Congress to spend foolishly. That helped create the deficit. Obama is just making it worse.

If any of you were trying to answer a question and were interrupted this many times you would have either punched the interviewer or screamed and left. I'm fine with pushing the president to answer the questions asked. Once he's finished you can say, you didn't answer my question, and ask it again. This man was argumentative and not interested in the answers. Many of these reporters just want to BE the news, they are entertainers, they want to create a name for themselves...that's it.

His use of "Dont interupt me" is a tool. Just like talking in circles around an issue. I really wish he would just tell the truth. Instead of saying "DONT INTERUPT ME" he should say "I dont want to address something that bothers me or will make me look bad". If only more people would recognize this tactic/ trick....
