This song means something different to everyone. To me its not a tragic love song. No doubt there is broken love here but for the cowboy its about his passion for rodeo.

He chases one rodeo after another. When he cant go hom because love failed him, he gladly chases the next event in Cheyenne.

I am a cyclist and I love racing my bikes. I know what it means to train/focus and crave the next race, chase points, overcome injury & adversity. Passion is an engine that drives like no other.
