whoever is talking shit must have never rode a TL1000R!!!! them bikes n my eyes r very sick. i will own another 1 even after my crash on 9-11-06 that about killed me. bout lost my foot. yeah i was up on 1....hit a sign @ over 80 ripping my foot to pieces. i love them. they have nasty torque. lots of horse. and are fast as fuck! also there is a resistor u can put on it to get full throttle 1st-3rd gear which stock u cannot. for whatever reason they did that?? lol but go ride 1 if u have balls!!!

Remove the pink wire from the connector to the ecu, that gives another 500 rpm

The TLR has a soft and hard rev limiter. This simple mod will remove the soft rev limiter on the TLR and give you an extra 500rpm.Remove the seat to get to the ECU then remove the larger of the two conenctors. You will see some white tabs in the side of the connector push it side ways and this unlocks the wires. Pull out the #25, black/brown and voila, soft rev limit removed.
