  • Good Review!!

  • favorites: scalp serum , shampoo, revitalizing conditioner, nourish & shine.. ..The scalp serum did wonders for my scalp

  • @SuckItProductionz. You are pretty ignorant. But I blame your parents. Peace....

  • the Scalp Serum and Twist & Lock are pretty good, and yes they smell great!! :)

  • I went to Curltopia and the stylist put together some products for me when she finished. The Jane Carter leave -in conditioner. It is very light weight but for me my hair was awfully dry! by the end of the day my hair was hard and I ended up with danuff. Smells good though

  • I don't necessarily like the leave-in that much either, but the regular deep conditioner is very good and moisturizing.

  • HEY!!.. no no no shingling doesn't require blowdrying. You can shingle on wet hair, by taking small sections, detangling and applying gel or curl cream by finger combing it thru eah small section. It really make curl patterns pop!

    so no worries..lol.. shingle away!

  • Duh Rashida, I've done shingling b4, raking & smoothing in gel section by section, & it did get my curls 2 pop. I have videos of me doing this... lol

I stopped shingling cuz it takes too long. So now, I do my wash & go's in the shower drenching my hair with water & loading in styling products, with lots of smoothing & shaking.

Wait til you see my wash & go results today. My hair turned out awesome! After you see the results of this wash & go, let me know if you still want me to do shingling.

  • The Jane Carter shampoo is WACK!

  • I'm gonna try the shampoo anyway, even though it contains sulfates. :-(

We shall see how it does on my hair.

  • I loved it. I really felt a difference in my hair as far as strength is concerned.

  • Oh wow, if I hear a bad review, I get skeptical. I tried mixedchicks shampoo and it made my hair rock hard.......:(

  • Actually, I didn't like the shampoo all that much... but then again, I don't like using shampoo at all. I only did it for the sake of the product review. Shampoo, especially sulfate shampoo, really dries my hair out and takes like 3 days for me to get the moisture levels back. I did like some of the other Jane Carter products, especially the Nutrient Replenishing conditioner, Nourish & Shine, & Twist & Lock.

  • Hi Shida, I agree. I have really been trying to not shampoo as much. I have that same experience and it does take about three days to get the moisture back. I was telling another friend about this line called Rene Furterer. They have like a co-wash type of shampoo. I haven't tried it yet. But I'll have to message you back with my review once I do. I do want to try that JC conditioner though, sounds good. Thx! Blessings!

  • Have either of you tried Oyin's Honey Wash? No other shampoo (Giovanni, Aubry Organics, Organix) I've tried so far makes my hair feel as soft as theirs.

  • I was responding to ShidaNatural & eternalthruchrist

  • @NaturalDezign Honestly, I've never tried Oyin's products. I inquired about being a retailer for them and selling their products in my hair store, but they weren't ready to take anymore retailers at that time.

  • And the Nourishing cream. Girl, let me leave you alone before I name them all! lol

  • ... and I'll try the Nourishing Cream one night this week since I moisturize my hair every night, probably tomorrow night.

  • COndition and sculpt! PLEASE let me know how that one is! But I am interested in your entire review, PLEASE! lol ;)

  • Check out the vid i just posted today. It includes the review of the Condition & Sculpt.

  • How about if you to use the moisture nourishing shampoo, then replenishing conditioner, twist & lock for two-strand twisting your hair then natural hold locking spray?

    Your hair is unbelievably gorgeous!!!

I'm so glad that you're doing this no-cone challenge--it is working for you.

Your Shida "mini-me" is so cute with her pretty hair ! :-)

  • Ok, I think I will do that on my next wash day which will probably be this Wednesday, Thursday.

  • I am interested in the reviralizing leave-in conditioner and the hair nourishing cream as twist out (maybe? or a wash and go?). I would like to see the condition and sculpt for a wash and go (maybe?). I have used the: Scalp Nourishing Serum, Hair Nourishing Serum, Nourish and Shine, Natural Hold Spray Gel, Wrap & Roll (on relaxed hair - flaked in my hair). Looking forward to your reviews and opinions on the products.

  • I'm not sure how well the Nourishing Cream will do as a twistout. I don't think my hair will be as defined but I'll give it a try. I'm def gonna do a twistout using the Twist & Lock and Nourish & Shine. I will def do a wash & go using the Condition & Sculpt. Thanks for the requests.

  • Your hair seriously looks better than ever since you started the no cone challenge. I thought it looked great before but it is over the top beautiful now!

  • ... and yes, my hair not only looks better without cones, but feels much much better. It absorbs & retains moisture so much better.

  • Your hair looks good, how is it everything going...wow, you have the whole line...I will do a review on this one day..lord's willing...anyway, how is your hair doing without the cones? I am in love, i havent been happier...um, does the jane carter shampoo contain sulfates? I tried the nourish and shine, i have it, but i really do not like it for my hair...i guess bc of the shea butter...great for skin!

  • My hair is absolutely loves having no cones in it! Yes, they sent me entire line in return of me doing a review on YouTube. Jane Carter knows whr her customers come from... right here on YouTube. The shampoo does contain sulfates, so I'm a bit hesitant to try it. Although, it is called "Moisture" Nourishing Shampoo so it may not be bad. I just may try it, we'll see. I like the Nourish & Shine to put on my dry hair styles (i.e. twistouts or curly afro). It really softens my hair.

  • Omg. Mini Me is correct. Ur daughter is ur exact splitting image. Are u sure that's ur daughter and not ur Clone?!

  • lol... Everyone says she looks just like me.

  • Everyone is right!

  • I'd like to see what you think about the pre-shampoo scalp oil

  • Consider it done

  • Well...tell lil' twin Sequoya said, "Hey Girl"! Lol....I've only tried the leave in conditioner and I loved it but it was a little pricey ;-( I personally have been dying to try the Nourish & Shine on twists so.....if you would please review the Nourish & Shine on twists that would be great :-)

  • lol... I told her. I will def do a Nourish & Shine twist review.

  • That is great I really want to go back to my natural hair, but I don't know how to get started.

  • Start by not being tempted to putting anymore perm in your hair. You can also search YouTube for the keywords, "transition hair natural" and see what others are doing as they go thru the transition from relaxed to natural.

  • OMG Shida I love, love, love Jane Carter products...her stuff is the truth...my fav is the leave in conditioner spray....I never tried the twist & lock so I am curious to see how that works on natural hair...please do a review on this one...I may pick up for my daughter & me...well, mainly my daughter since I am rocking my micros right now. Thanks girl.

  • Omg! I know....the leave in conditioner is great hunh ;-)

  • The Twist & Lock works really well for twists. I just put 2-strand twists in my daughter's hair last night using the Twist & Lock. You'll see the results in the review video of the Twist & Lock.

  • Hey, these products seem really promising! i would like to see a wash and go, or maybe you could do some shingling? I don't think i have ever seen you shingle.. but I haven't watched all your vids yet.. i'm a newbie..lol..

also i'd like to say I have also started a no cone challenge and WOW my hair is so much softer. I don't think it has ever been this soft! Thanks for educating me!

Also I have started using my own leave in conditioner made of water, EVOO and glycerin.. its so great an cheap!

  • Girl, u shld alrdy kno that I'll be doin a wash & go... My all-time fav natural hairstyle. :-)

I've never shingled cuz that requires a blow dryer right? I haven't used a blowdryer in such a long time since I always let my hair air dry. I'll see about the shingling.

As far as the no cone... My hair has never been so soft, & it absorbs & retains moisture like never b4. It's awesome, right! =D

  • Yes, the hold gel is a spray but there's also a hold locking spray that I will probably use on my twists. The hold spray gel was designed to be used during heat styling like hot curling or flat ironing. I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to apply any heat to my hair right now. I haven't applied heat to my hair in a very long time.

  • I'd like to see how the lock and twist butter holds up with the twists :)

  • Most def! Thank you for your request.

  • So far, I have only tried the Jane Carter conditioner. I love it, but it's so expensive for such a small bottle. Could you review the Nourish & Shine, Leave-In, Condition & Sculpt, and Hair nourishing cream?

  • I sure will LittleMissMoni... Are there any particular hairstyles you want me to do using the products that you want me to review?

  • Thanks!! :) I don't think there's any particular styles; your hair looks cute no matter how you style it!
