lol wow locked you up 5 yrs for nothin shit wtf...i'd be pissed. ugh i feel for you mr. i really do. it pisses me off. all these damn docs care bout and government people and law people is there damn money....they forget bout human life...
this guy doesn't deserve sympathy. Whats he done with his life besides having a prison term and hepatitis C? the authorities don't give a damn about people like this, its the sorry truth. I don't want to sound cruel but there are others who deserve more urgent treatment instead of this guy who would bite the hand who cured him if he thought he'd get away with it. "they violated my constitutional rights"like that's his main concern. Give me a break
chronic drug use and other risk taking behaviors often mark the lives of the anitsocial personality. i recently found out my 1st husband died of hepatitis c due to sharing dirty needles. he died the way he lived...drunk high alone and blaming everyone else never himself for what came to pass. this was someone with a lifelong history of behaviors indicating he was a sadistic sociopath. i often wonder about whom he might have killed before he died that the world will never know about
this disease is social labeling in my view. just because a person does not conform in the direction of mainstream society does not mean. That they have a disorder. This disease in the past used to be called moral insanity. They say there is no treatment 4 it because the person dosnt want to get treated. The way I think about it is get treated for what. There are good ppl and bad ppl. This type of social labeling just makes things more confusing.
There is scientific evidence showing that persons with this "label" have parts of their brain, specifically the bilateral anterior insula, do not respond to stimuli in the manner which would be expected of a fully functioning brain. Their treatment would be in the same manner that someone with diabetes would be treated, i.e., medical science would compensate for the part of their body which is not functioning properly.
cmon your comparing an enzyme deficiency to a neurotic problem that was a horrible analogy that isnt sound. this condition is the hardest to diagnose and there isnt sufficient evidence that treatments do work. I took a psychology and this disorder is somewhat social labeling. Im taking pre med and pills dont always work, its the companies that rake in billions that dictate what is a disorder know a days after they conduct studies and get it past the fda , its pretty sad.
@hurasane Good / Bad people is social labeling. Who is good? Who is bad? Antisocial personality disorder is a list of symptoms describing a person who is irresponsible, without conscience, remorseless, deceitful, unrestrained by laws, morals, or social conventions. How is that confusing? It's hard to treat because they aren't motivated to become more responsible and concerned for others. Not caring is part of the disorder, and they would have to care to try to change.
@qwexas So it seems to me that in a way, they're going against their own moral code... You've heard the bullshit I'm sure... God this, Jesus that..... We ae what we are in this world, if we don't like it, we can change, if we do, fuck it in my book.
@AndrewWerdna1000 I don't understand. Who is going against whose moral code? If I understand correctly, someone with antisocial personality disorder does what he wants, and sees morals only as a handicap for other people. They have no moral code of their own to oppose, only the moral code others assume all people have. They aren't ashamed of being "bad" and don't see a reason to become "good".
@qwexas Exatly, it's a missing of feeling, because the rules are set by caring. And caring is not working in anti social's brain, wich means in few words, of course, that they have a problem
Could it be that the U.S Navy in 1973 while innoculating me numerous times with air gun type syringes at boot camp, where the next guy would get hit in the shoulder with the same gun. Sure I used drugs later on but that was after I was demonized that only dope fiends shareing spikes get the disease. Now they know woman at beauty salons can get it from unsterilized instruments. The public is warned because interferon sales are to profitable.
Yes, Megalomani -This man made mistakes in his life, so he should be punished. He deserves to suffer, and be treated like he has no right to well-being.
Please open a University to instruct other less-upright citizens in the ways of becoming flawless, and include how there will be perpetual judgement and rebuke for their transgressions should they fail (and that they will be expected to accept them silently, as they would be deserving of rejection).
Megalomani - I'm not sure if you intended to sound like a condescending, sanctimonious Fascist. My wife and I were caregivers for a friend of ours who had Hep C. Her husband brought it home to her as 'the gift that keeps giving'. She was shunned by her family, & was practically rendered homeless. It wasn't easy, but that sister died knowing she was loved, and not feeling like a worthless leper. Even if she'd have screwed half of the country while injecting black tar heroin, she deserved love.

The Navy probably gave it to you. I know several veterans who tell the same story.. culminating Hep C.

Isn't the reason they use the air gun injectors is because they don't spread disease? They still use them today.

Yes the drugs suck, and so does Hep C. Should be an example to other not to abuse iv drugs, because you could end up like this.
