Edward taking the initiative to kiss her instead of her kissing his forehead was an awesome thing for him to do! Its cool that Mary used her own glasses in the show, it shows us that you can still beautiful And wear glasses at the same time! So glad she was able to take time and do this for her fans!
I thought I heard on the commentary track that Eddie came up with the kiss idea, Ron never mentioned that the first version had Roslin kissing Adama on the forehead. That would have been really sweet but of course, now, I can't imagine it any other way. Forehead is too non sexual. Kissing her on the mouth was like saying 'you're still a beautiful woman, no matter what'
I know Eddie's middle name is James but for some reason I thought maybe she mixed him up with James and Jamie. Too many James' to keep up with. I love that scene too. Pure magic. It was just so unexpected and perfectly done. MM and RM can say they never did it till the end of the show but I'm with EJO - they SO were doing it. But not at this point I don't think.
That scene and the one in Ressurection Ship Part 1, with Laura and Bill, when Laura is in her bed, are my first two favorite scenes in Battlestar Galactica. MM and EJO Rock!
I agree. Although I think the best scene in the entire series is the one in The Hub when Laura tells Bill she loves him. I think that whole episode is really good because that is when Laura finally realizes she has to do something with her feelings for Bill.
See I really didn't get that episode so much. The scene yes, not the episode because at times it seemed like Bill was talking about responsibilities and sort of keeping Laura at bay and then in the Hub it was like hey Laura get a grip on your feelings. I always thought (aside from small instances) that they always BOTH had a grip on their feelings and knew they loved eachother. It's hard to explain. Even how bill said 'about time' made me know he knew it it was just about time she said it
I think that Bill and Laura loved each other all along but they never really wanted to admit it. I think when she sees that Adama loves her in her dream the way she loves him that she finally realizes that they could have a future together. Also one of m fav. scenes is Daybreak Part 1 when she can't walk but Adama lets her volunteer anyway because he can't live without her.
See that dream scene struck me as odd because she was watching it all with a slight sense of detachment and almost surprise. Then she says 'maybe' there is something for me and I'm thinking surely it didn't just hit you that Adama loves you. I guess it was supposed to be about how huge the walls were that she had built up so maybe she really didn't see it as clearly as we the audience did. Oh forget it! when she comes walking out across 'the line' I was bawling my eyes out. GREAT SHOW
My last ABSOLUTELY favorite moments are in Blood On Scales when Laura finds out that Adama is killed, when Adama is talking to the baseship after Laura finds out that Adama is still alive, and when Laura is back on the Galactica and Laura is crying and Adama and Laura are hugging. I love these two people. They are two people who are older and still can find true love.
oh that was so great. I was spellbound. When he says to Gaeta, call up Roslin and make her laugh. It was like they were two halves of a whole, knowing what the other would do or not do. You know what I always wondered. When Zarek tells Laura Bill is dead and she yells back "I'm coming for all of you" could Adama/Kara/Lee hear it when they were heading back to the CIC? Or was it only broadcast in the CIC? The thought of Adama hearing Laura's rage is totally romantic
I don't know. I have never thought about that but I am pretty sure that it was though out the ship. It is pretty romantic he can hear that she can't live without him either. That whole episode is very sweet.
I always wondered. I mean they showed Bill walking while she was talking so I thought maybe that was supposed to mean he could hear. I know he heard the part about 'you have five minutes' but I wasn't sure he heard the rest. I like to think they all heard it. They all knew Roslin would frakkin' kill for Adama. I loved that.
