  • Noddy Holder is incredibly tough.

  • СУПЕР.:):):)

  • the original mixed up kid

  • n I love Slade...

  • This is my favourite Slade song and this is a truly magnificent live performance for the first minute but then it became the Jim Lea show, complete with lousy seventies special effects that allowed us to watch a violin being played through the transparency window of a superimposed close-up of a violin bein played.

I could hear Dave Hill thumping out a good bass line - would've liked to see a bit of it though.

  • What a band, these four are just the stuff. Timeless when they gel this well. from east tennessee slade fan!

  • Fan Bloody Tastic!!!!!

  • :Ay won't ev'rbody to clap ther 'ands stamp thea feet. Love the Wolverhampton accent!

  • @Syndicate93 Your profile says that you are from Sweden......hmmmmm. Is it common that people from Sweden know what a typical "Wolverhampton accent" is? Did or do you live there? Or are you some kind of self made genius on accents? Gee, I wonder!

  • @proslade Well, let's say I've been to Brittain a couple of times, and I have always admired languages and have been able to learn new languages and accents rather easy. Not least by listening to recordings and interviews with Beatles, Stones, Small faces, and of course Slade etc. So I have learned to recognize some of the brittish accents and can tell where they are from, but to be honest I know more english accents than the swedish ones. Most of them sound terrible anyway.

  • @Syndicate93 Thank you for your input! Interesting I would not hear it, for me it sounds typical English.

  • @proslade I'm also from sweden and hear that he has a diffrent accent. But i'm not like other swedes with the horrible sweden accent, I speak american.

  • @electro5 I see. Anyway, this souns great to me. One of the best live acts in the history of pop, one of the best rockbands ever.

  • Absolutely fabulous. I still love them after all these years. They're still the absolute best. And Jim Lea is a true musical genius

  • That violin just fitted into this song like a glove, impossible to imagine it without it. What a classic. I was just a tiny kid but I remember this coming out of me mother's radio daily.

  • what can I say? took so long to checked out this. ... wonderful... maravilhoso... :)

  • great song ,i love all song slade,i love glam rock

  • sad, that idiot couldn't play with himself, nevermind a violin

  • @paul054 Jim Lea is a musical genius.

  • @TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY Apologies. I live and learn. Thanks.

  • @paul054 No need to apologize to me, you're entitled to your opinion. It just wasn't one that I shared.

  • @paul054 Yeah live and learn. Try Slade s Kill em at the hot club tonite, Pity the mother or Dapple Rose if you think the musical genius Jim Lea could not play violin. Or his fantastic solo album "Therapy". Don t be fooled by misleading images of this magnificent and once in a generation band.

You are into an overhyped wanker marc Ronson. What else? Beatles I suppose. Well, they could not play violin, the 5th Beatle, George Martin played all the violin parts. Anything non-prejudiced to say Sir?

  • @paul054 Try cleaning your ears out, or are you deaf to music.

  • sad

  • Great unusual post.

I remember first seeing them with DM's, Levis, braces and skin heads in the NME.

    How old do I feel....

Good old Noddy ~ A national treasure.

  • Wonderful vintage video. Absolutely brilliant!!

  • oh love this track, memories of my youth.....

  • very cool. the album they did is cool too

  • Great upload!
