  • 35.000 pgs/ hr ????

  • I am worked in Ryobi 750 good and excellent printing mashine short wastage and good production sugathan kc kunnamkulam

  • whaaaa ^^ je travail sur une rioby 725....heu je vais pas a cette vitesse ....bravo pour le reglage de la marge ...;)

  • that is only copy, not printing!

  • Disaster at 13K iph? You gotta be joking me. Try seeing what a web out + wrap up will do to a press at 28K iph. Esp. if the damn operator ain't paying attention and is spacing out.

  • @HachiZenki web presses suck compared to sheet-fed presses, because of the constant drone of a web press. Besides, it takes a team of people to run a web press.

  • If you are looking for a good used Ryobi, we know where they are nationwide. Just call KirbyWest @ 512-992-7430

    Dave

  • thats alotta ink..

  • Shoud've bought a Speedmaster. Ryobi are for those who can't afford a Speedmaster. But those who can't afford a Speedmaster can't see the way forward. You can't afford not to get one.

  • im still in school and they have us running old ass ryobi and it gives us suck many problems. i guess that gives us skill on how to solve them later on but its just a huge pain in the ass and disappointment to only print maybe 5000 print at a time. and we have to run them slow so they dont jam, which they do anyway. biggest waste of time

  • The only speed I'd run a ryobi at is FAST - right out the back door! I've never had the displeasure to run such crap machines as ryobi. Very poor mechanical systems, extremely poor quality metals. They are the worlds worst machines. Needless to say that they are popular in the far east where quality doesnt matter. Ryobi need to give up printing and concentrate on making their fishing reels.

  • Holy shit, at 13,000/hour, don't you run the risk of having your ink being scrapped onto the paper as to having it being neatly printed?

  • @geroldkid LOL, run millions of impressions a week, most all of them are very close, or above 13K IPH. Smashed grapes color ramps off, etc are tossed and our ship out scrap is below 0.3 %

  • hello luxembourg: you can print our 24x36 posters on offset. if you have good one-color with good register you can without buying 4-color press. but you first need to learn what is offset, platemaking and ink-water balance. offset is not silk screen where you scrape the ink period. i suggest you apprentice in an offset shop to learn the trick.

  • What kind of an offset would I need to print 24 inch by 36 inch posters? And how much would it cost?

  • Dunno, something way bigger. This machine is just under half of that size, and the ballpark price I heard was around a quarter of a million US dollars in 1995.

  • shit man, thats a lot. I wonder what the price to make a poster of that size cost at least. to see if its even worth it or not. but dang back in 95. I see a printer by HP for around 8 to 12 grand that does it, no idea on how much ink it would use up.

  • Well, offset printing vs. inkjet (or some other similar technology) is very different.

If you're making thousands of them, it makes sense to use offset printing.

If you're making just a few here and there then offset printing probably doesn't make sense.

Plus, this is only a two color press - the sheets have to go through twice to get full color, "4 color process".

  • So offset printing requires a big machine, lots of labor, but makes sense when you need a lot of the same thing. Even though this press's top speed is 13,000 2-color impressions per hour, it make take 2-4 hours to get 5000 sheets printed.

(Plus overhead of end-of-day time washing the rollers, cleaning all the rubber and chrome working surfaces.)

  • If you want to make posters personally - just get a big inkjet (like an HP Designjet).

  • yeah but the price per poster thats 6 sq feet would run you a lot man. no? hp i was told epson would be the best bet. epson 7880 model. 24 inch.

  • @LuxuriousLuxembourg

You'd need a 700 x 1000 mm sheet fed offset printing press. I suppose you are reffering to colour posters so, it should at least be a 4 colour press. Suggestions that come to mind: Heidelberg Speedmaster 102, MAN ROLAND 700 series, KBA Rapida 104. Also, Komori is a great press. Anyway, for that format it should definitely be a 700 x 1000 mm format (that's maximum paper format that is printable - the actual image size is slightly smaller).

  • @Kostagh How much is that machine? Nice not bad thanks for the information. :)

  • Man, how the hell did you take a paper out so fast and good???, I'm learing now and I got to atmit it doesnt alwasy work for me XD

  • Years of practice!

Basically it's all in timing: focus on the timing to get the rhythm watching several sheets come out. Then when you've mentally locked onto the timing, in one quick move: open delivery door, lay your finger on top of the pile, grip onto the sheet that lands on it, and pull it out FAST and straight. Follow through a little bit so the tail of the sheet is still moving quickly when you jam the door closed.

  • Nice Ryobi stream feed too! We have the 3302 and 3304 at my school's press shop neither are stream fed *crys* That's really sweet though

  • I also worked on a 3302, was a fun machine to run, when it was working well... I spent a lot of time messing with the infeed roller pressure (under head of sheet) and the infeed cylinder grippers to get register just right. Make sure you've got good rubber on the infeed rollers, makes a world of difference.

On 3302, there's a rod that's too close to the rollers and builds up ink (presumably from sloppy washup) and drips dirty ink into into the rollers, had to clean frequently.

  • Very nice machine! Nice sound, looks good, fast and a ryobi. Better than my bird

  • wooooohhh....very fast offset machine.thats impossible!!!

  • excelente... buena velocidad...

pero no muestran la calidad de impresion a una velocidad de 10000/ph y ver el registro

  • yeah we have the same problem,, speeding up our roland 200 moves the register just a bit
