Didn't work for me on Windows 7 Ultimate 64.. The floppy loaded and all, but when the login screen came up pressing enter didn't do anything but show me that a wrong password was entered... meh
@juicyimpact That's exactly what I thought until I HAD TO use it for over 2 months.
Now I think it's a little bit better than XP - what I mean is that it's almost exactly the same but it has some extra features (e.g.: I love it how it handles folders like Linux).
@hiphopdancergirl1 are you serious are you retarded. your name is hip hop dance girl you obviously have no knowledge on computers besides pirating software and music and myspace. look how i belittle you and im only 13 how sad.
All you have to do is password your bios and then no one can change the boot settings. I know you can move the jumper on the motherboard and clear the password but hopefully by the time they do this you would have caught them. If you are that worried about your data being stolen you could somehow lock your case.
How do you use this crap? I'm lost. I need to remove the password off my cousin's computer because he hasn't used it in forever and he has this dumb logon screen everytime. What's worse is that the language pack is chinese so the dumb thing is so hard to read. Please help?
I can't hear the 'admin' instructions. There is ONLY an admin account on the Windows 7 computer I have. So, when the admin account login comes up - what do I do?
Omg Windows xp you don't even need to bother with that, right before it shows the windows xp logo press f8 and it will take you to a list of things to choose from. Choose Safe Mode and it will take you to a loggin screen after a little loading. Choose Administrator and type administrator as the password, and viola! you are in! you can even add or delete other windows xp accounts that are being used for your computer so you won't have to keep pressing f8 just to get on the computer.
@saradawn6 when you start up ur computer it says "Press f(unknows) for boot manager" On my Dell computer its f12, once ur in the manager just select where you want to boot from (if you go into the utility manager f8 on my computer, you can change the location it will boot from)
It is stuck at the "Boot Up !" Message, and then just freeze and I have to Ctrl Alt Del to reboot to Win 7, and my password is still required ... What can I do ?
this has worked on 80% of the PC's i have tried it on (XP & Vista)...
i also put the Kon-Boot CD image on a USB thumb drive with UNetBootin... works great...
Message me and I will give you the megaupload address - for the files that are a mirror of my USB Kon-Boot.
But for anyone who is scared their privacy is at stake, I have found that Kon-Boot cannot get past a System HD encrypted with TrueCrypt.... like mine... XD
usually u chane just bring up the boot meny instead of entering the bios the boot menu on my computer for example is TAB (usually written below in splash screen or post when computer is starting up)
Before that cleverly programmed CD, people used to think twice before they reset any windows password they want to access using a bootable image because the owner will know that the password has been changed, but now it's not much of an issue for the attacker since he'll log in / log out without knowing or resetting the password, the owner will left unaware of the breach.
thumbs up for the guy who wrote this...
It worked for me "vista home premium SP2 x86 fully patched"
In bios u have to put it to boot first from cd. In cd has to be ISO FILE MADE WITH ISO. so u have to make an iso of the iso image from the site and then burn it.
Ok i know that its able to login without password but after the login will the user able to create/change the password ? I want to know ...

ALWAYS use a BIOS password.
NEVER leave your BIOS set to boot from anything but your HD, if YOU don't need it to.

Sam5513 2 years ago
To make it work you HAVE to burn it on a cd (not a DVD!!!) make sure your bios is set to first boot from cd/dvd drive.
I tried it on my vista machine and it worked!!! Kind of sucks because i have a really hard pass. but with this it is no use.
