These... animations ( a vast majority of them. ) are the same animations they had before. Just.. with some added sparklies.. -_- I played both Champs and CoH. I like and hate a handfull of things about both of them. Champs needs to adopt the instance missions like CoH. I mean especially one's where you have to go and take out a certian guy. Not have me running around the map waiting for this dude to respawn. That's just lame. I thought I was a super hero. Not a bow wielding pointy eared bastard.
i have been on beta for champions and behind the flashy tech like power customization and all that jazz i prefer COH i got bored playing champions really fast... i was completely dissapointed
Q: Does CO have other mission objectives beside monotonous killing baddies & clicking stuff, which are basically the only mission objectives in CoH. Don't get me wrong I've been playing CoH for 5 years, but I am bored with just killing baddies. I'll be trying CO. Natural looking movement is very important to me which CoH has, CO looks cartoony and unnatural in their demoes.
As far as Going Rogue, if GR is merely being able to change alignment, that's is under-whelming.
Champions looks like it was made by freaking Disney. With the updates CoH is doing and continues to do, veteran players of CoH will stay with CoH and the only real people who play champions will be the ones that haven't played CoH to its full potential.
With the latest upcoming issue to CoH, the difficulty altering allows a much more solo-friendly game for people, of which Champions actually won't be at all, as stated on their site.
I played CoH way past it's full potential for 4 years. Champions is way more fun for me, even solo. I got bored of CoH because it just seemed like the same thing over and over. YMMV
i disagree Champions is lead by former CoH team members whom left years ago over dev differences. The BIG nerfs started happening recently over the last year, while champions has been in the works for 2 years at least. so its not maded by the people whom nerfed coh. champions in a sense should be what CoH was about 1.5 years agp. when it was fun. coh is dull and repeatative. and this recent issue 16 "color and power change stuff" is a weak attemtp to copy champions. but we can agree to disagree
Actually, Jack Emmert was the champion of the ED change. Also, the developers didn't leave over "dev differences", they were separated to work on different projects within Cryptic. When NCSoft wanted to buy out CoH and its team, the team just so happened to leave Cryptic, and that's the only reason the developers on both of these games are in different companies.
Also, color customization has been in the works in CoH for about a year and a half. Definitely not copying CO.
What game are you playing? And as far as "Copying Champions", NC was working on this when Champions first came about. Read some of the interviews with Matt Miller. Get your facts straight.

This is going to be great. The Going Rogue expansion will be simply amazing though. CO can eat their dust.

QUESTION: How can CO eat COH's dust when they were the first ones to come up with this?
If I recall, Cryptic talked about power customization at day one. Long before issue 16 was even thought of. >_>

when does this update go live?

This, and Going rogue will definetly win over champions, by far.

i truly hope your joking

Yeah, I'm not joking.
Champions is led by the guy who nerfed virtually everything about CoH.
Of course this will win some people over.
Champions sucks. CoH is better.
