He's also been nominated twice for best actor for the upcoming 2011 Japan Media Arts Award for both Confessions and Akunin... not to mention his acting recognitions for Juryoku Pierrot and Honokaa Boy in 2009...

He's more of a 'movie' actor and is very reserved, so that's why we don't see him much in dramas.
