  • Here's why you are a Liberal Democrat: ££££££

  • This is the first time I have seen this video. They are pretty much the same reasons why I am a Liberal Democrat. It was nice to watch a video that was produced in the past, yet the fundamentals are the same.

  • Idea for new video: Why are you no longer a Liberal Democrat?

  • i have a brain

  • ... cause I am a liar.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 You forgot to mention the great policy Lib Dem's have on Civil Liberties.

  • The Green party were green long before the LDs. Their lies have been exposed yet again with all the other political parties.

Luckily they were not guiding us into membership of the Euro a few years ago or who knows where we would be.

Incompetent in every aspect. As for Vince Cable. He really got tough with the banks didn't he ? Now the fool wants to maintain an open door immigration policy. Not forgetting his ignorant attacks on British science.

And more human rights for the criminals.

  • Game over for Lib dems. They lied to thier voters and stab them in the back, they are now finished.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Yes, the LibDems sounded really good in opposition, didn't they? I voted for them plenty of times. The proof of the pudding, though, is what a party does in government - and the LibDems don't do what it said on the tin.

    So never again

  • The party that could be whatever you wanted it to be, before it got into power anyway.

  • Im proud to be a conservitave republican.

  • @crossmanshooter909 Maybe you should learn to spell 'conservative' if you want to be one.

  • @npe1 Well the ability to spell shouldn't affect ones political belief. Dont get butt-hurt over a typo, smart-ass liberal.

  • @crossmanshooter909 This video is not even about US politics. Republicans and Democrats have nothing to do with what this video is about. This about UK politics, so your comment about being a republican is not even relevant. If you say you're a republican in the UK it means you want to abolish the monarchy and has nothing to do with being a conservative.

  • One reason I'll never vote LibDem again "Nick Clegg".

  • I'd love to know what the lib dems would do for the "INJUSTICES " i the world other than letting them all come to Britain to destroy it. What can the libdems do for the palestinians? but give them aid which will end up buying more weapons for hamas. Maybe they would like to get rid of the jews. Idon't beleive that, my point is we can't solve the fundamental issues facing mankind this century, Not enough food, expanding populations, global warming, ethnic tentions. Tax and open borders are no good!

  • Simon Hughes running a Homophobic campaign against his Labour rival 'The Straight Choice' How ironic! Some of those old coffin Dodgers are ex SDP bunch of traitors.

  • I joined the liberal democrats because I believe in a fair Britain

I joined the liberal democrats because every person's vote should count,

I joined the liberal democrats because I believed in minimal government and free markets

I did not join the liberal democrats to betray every liberal ideal in the book and to get into bed with Cameron...

  • Because you're a communist faggot

  • Because you are a twat

  • WORLD8NSH5KNIGH.....................I am glad you dont block user comments..........so i can tell you this: LIB-DEMS ARE FUCKING SCUM! NICK CLEGG IS A JUDAS QUIZLING PRICK who quickly paid back £1000+ so he wouldnt be implicated in expenses scandal.Danny Alexander flipped his house so he did'nt have to pay c.g.t! U Backed down on ur pledge on uni fees YOU ARE THE LOWEST OF THE LOW WHO WILL NEVER EVER BE TAKEN SERIOUS AGAIN OR VOTED IN AGAIN! JUDAS, QUIZLING, SCUM! I HATE LIB-DEMS..TRAITORS!

  • Im a Lib Dem because i believe in higher VAT, taxing the poor and pensioners more, and betraying my party....clegg has really screwed over liberalism.

  • There are som good Liberal Ideas that I belive in. I just cant take the big government part. It should be 1/5 its current size. Police/Fire/Millitary sized. Then I would be a Lib.

  • Nick Clegg joined the party because he wanted a nice big fancy ministerial office and to live in Cameron's pocket.

  • @npe1 yea because someone who supports change to an electoral voting system that nigh on never results in a hung parliament and therefore coalition govt. really had that on his top list of priorities didnt he

  • @benbarclay20 What? Are you trying to say that AV will be a proportional system?

  • @npe1 totaly agree. Amazing what the temptation of power can do to your morals -_-

  • cont; but I still appreciate the reasons the coalition was formed in the first place. As no party had an outright majority it would have been undemocratic for one party to be represented entirely alone in government. Whatever decision Nick Clegg made would have been criticised. Labour especially is in no position to lecture given that they had 13 years to implement certain things and didn't do so. They did not make clear what their cuts would have amounted to and its not as if they have cont;

  • cont; never entered a coalition with the Tories themselves. I don't see how people can justify calling Nick Clegg a 'traitor' when he has been entirely consistant- throughout the campaign he made it clear he would work with the party that had the largest mandate (the Tories). However my appreciation of the difficult situation Clegg was in does not extend to slavishly supporting everything the coalition does and you make a number of very valid points.

  • cont.... I should also add that whilst I am a Lib Dem supporter, I do not simply accept every policy in a ultra partisan way some other politicos I know do. There are certain Lib Dem policies I am uncomfortable with. I believe are views on crime are largely out of touch and imply that criminals and victims are on an equal footing. I do not accept that- in fact on crime, I am probably more of a conservative. I also think the Lib Dems have been far too silent on religious extremism when that is

  • cont; that as liberals they should be the most outspoken critics of this, but to an extend the politically correct notion of 'not offending' has shackled this party for a long time. That is not 'tolerance' or 'egalitarianism' it is just stupidity and weakness. There are Lib Dems who may cringe at my comments but I believe activists or supporters of political parties should be honest in areas they feel those parties are flawed in.

  • I'm a Lib Dem because I'm a lobotomised donkey.

  • What a sell out banks make money but they still cut services to the poor. Nick is a mouse and Dave is the cat

  • The so-called Liberal Democrats are nothing of the sort; they are Labour in disguise. Improving standards of education does not require higher levels of public spenidng or taxation. Taxing the rich is not necessary in order to bring back discipline in the classroom and allow headteachers to expel unruly pupils. Building free schools requires government funding, but this can be achieved through spending cuts not taxes. Vote UKIP for a low tax economy.

  • The LIbDems may have compromised on what they actually get done in this coalition, but they havn't neccesarily compromised on their BELIEFS. Why do so many people assume this?

  • The trouble with the British is that they think political parties listen, well they dont.

Political patheties have an ethos, and agenda, which they believe in, and they make out they listen to people just to get into power.

I dont believe in political parties listening to the people.

I believe in political parties just doing the job based on tyheir manifestos, and if the people vote for them, good, and if they dont, tough.

  • Why am I a Tory? Wait...what? Oh shit.

  • Shouldn't this say: Why I am a Tory? And if not, why? I mean the Liberals didn't want 20% vat a few weeks ago, and know they're oh yeah Dave come on

  • fairness: because everyone deserves a little bit of what you worked hard for.

  • Definition Clegg: Two varieties - A flying parasite that lives off of sucking the blood of living animals, or a human parasite that's making a good living off of the votes of other LIB DEMS.

  • These are excellent reasons, principled and honest seeming.

Yet now that they are a coalition force under the Tories, how can we believe them.

They lost their independent voice yesterday, as a stable government means a united front. I agree with Simon Hughes for example on Palestine, but are you telling me their 57 or so seats bring enough clout to change, Defence Secretary, Dr Liam Fox, who thinks we should naturally ally with the Israelis over Palestine, and who supports a war against Iran?

  • If they believe in Liberalism why not vote for the Liberal Party?

How can that guy say he does not believe in "big government" when the lib dems agree with the European Union, devolved parliaments etc. Also If we have a free market economy then "little people" need to have a stake in it through small businesses. As the E.U. favours big businesses they would not. People should also be aware that the Lib Dems support post office closures. Post offices are often a centre of village life.

  • I Agreed with NICK

    Voted to StaleMate for Change

For a better future, see my video

    /watch?v=MqlTJ8OLE9A

  • VOTE LIB DEM

  • Basically every one who smoke weed vote these they are going to legalise weed. insane

  • @jaker1993 You're talking crap.

  • a penny on income tax for education - well that one's blown away now

Simon Hughes joined the Libs because at the time it was a good way to meet queers and other sexual deviants

  • the Lib Dems immigration policies are insane: an amnesty for illegals, pro-multiculturalism. Some Liberal Democrats want open borders, i.e no restrictions on immigration at all! They even took time to have a policy ALLOWING 16 year olds to watch and be in porn films. People need to know this.

  • @Remistro You're anti-multiculturalism? So you're a xenophobe are you? People need to know this. :P

  • all of the people on this look and sound brainwashed!

  • Nick Clegg states that he has No religion!!! but his wife and children are being brought up Catholic!!!!! another tony blair in the making.... to reck the United Kingdom

  • I'm NOT a liberal democrat! GRRR! Duh! I'm a human girl who is 10.

  • Are the Libs going to replace the trident subs?

We must need something or Labour would have have scaped it.

My second question before I vote is why do we send so much money to Europe

  • NICK CLEGG must call David Cameron on his closed door meetings on Rupert Murdochs Yacht.

The Tories are a nasty, elitest, corporate controlled party set on taxing poor and cutting taxes for the rich.

  • @janebusby If you worked hard all your life and end up with 50% of your salary going to pay for benefits for people who will not work, and houses for people who get knocked up just for a place of their own.

David Cameron is someone who is going to bring back a bit of power to the government, cutting off benefits for people who won't work. Making people who are on benefits do community service, that seems pretty fair to me.

  • Awesome.

  • I am a LibDem because Palestine deserves a change too.

  • I am a Liberal Democrat because I believe in the right of the individual citizen to a free and democratic society. I have had that belief since a very young age and I will retain that belief until my dying day.

  • Lib-Dems will continue to flood Britain with non whites until we are out numbered then mongrelized out of existence in our own country.

  • @stepheng1483 More right wing propaganda, yawn.

  • I'm trying to figure whether I should support lib dem or conservative

  • @spindelgris Well if you want people besides the rich to be valued, then the Tories aren't exactly the best one to vote for.

  • The media at the moment is commanding "vote Liberal democrat", for some reason.

    Well I'm not going to.

  • Because I'm a fucking loser.

  • The Liberals will offer an amnesty to illegal immigrants.

  • You mean amnesty to asylum seekers. If you don't agree with that, you are truly evil.

  • @BRIGSTOCK Right wring propaganda, as per usual.

  • @LeonSKennedy828 I am not right wing at all. The simple fact is that immigration is a major problem and the Lib Dems cannot be trusted. I'd rather have Labour back.

  • This is all complete bolox.

  • The top 2 parties are way too comfortable, they're barely trying anymore.

LET'S SHAKE THIS SYSTEM UP A BIT!

Let's make them work for their money.

    LIB DEMS 2010

  • -The only major party to oppose the deeply flawed invasion of Iraq

    -Campaigning for Proportional Representation

-Was green before it became fashionable

-Is not tied to vested interests in the way the Tories and Labour are

    - Has proven flexibility in electorability- picking up urban and rural seats

    -Pro European

-Because Britain needs a big party that is not red or blue

-Liberals do not look down on those at the bottom of society (Tories) and are not anti-wealth (socialists)

  • ..... and unlike Labour, they do not block user comments.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Such a shame that what we've got now is a party that sells out its values just so it can have a seat next to the prime minister. Throwing its massive base of Student voters to the wolves, standing by and allowing Trident project to go through not to mention nuclear power stations being proposed. Sacrificing proportional representation in faovur of the A/B system which can only benefit them (No labour voter will by Conservative in second place and no Tory will put labour 2nd)

  • @CidHighwindRocks

    I made that comment before the coalition was formed. However I still stand by the points I made. As the smaller party in this coalition, I think it would be naive for people to think it would ever have been a 50-50 situation. Admitedly I am not overly enthusiastic about a party I have supported for 5 years now working with a party which has some policies I loathe (esp the Tories vilification of all welfare claimants- but that is something New Labour is equally guilty of) con;

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 I appreciate your comments were made 6 months ago. Subsequently, events have unfolded that have shown the Lib Dems in a different light. I used to vote Lib Dem at every election. I had hoped for some backbone from them to temper the Tories in coalition. Lib Dem voters have seen little to no evidence of that. Clegg is little more than Cameron's fag ('fag' as in Eton gopher) it seems, parodied in press cartoons as a shoe shiner (The Times). The Lib Dems have acted shamefully.

  • I like the concept of this.

  • All we need is everything equal and fair; the other two parties cannot and have not delivered this.

I think its a contributor to that odd "boredom" factor that not just teenagers experience (and is therefore a contributor in part to the rise in anti-social behaviour), but now the public at large, the insane feeling of going in circles with no real choice but to walk the de-facto lifestyle of mortgage-debt-flatline.

The liberal democrats are the only party who can change this, and bring choice.

  • im a libdem because they where the only party against the war in iraq and because vince cable is a genius

  • I would vote if I was a few month younger but I won't be 18 in time :(

Why I like the Liberal Democrats is because you are going to take a realistic approach to drugs

  • I'm voting Liberal Democrats in the upcoming election, both the Tories and Labour aren't trust worthy in my eyes.

  • People seem to be mixing up the AMERICAN one for the BRITISH one.

The BRITISH one is NOT racist.

  • Liberalisme=capitalisme=poverty

  • The Liberal Democrats will send the country BACKWARDS.

    Vote BNP.

  • @MrDataCode I think you should all vote BNP - because I believe you are all racist towards britan muslims!!!

  • @anillondon89

    your comment makes no sense.

    a) the BNP is a small party that hasn't got a single MP

    b) British muslims are represented in all three big parties

    c) Criticism of Islam and especially not Islamism is not a substitute for 'racism'. Some critics are racist, but others, such as me, recognise the real threat posed by the ideology of political Islamism. I have friends from across the world, including a number of muslims but the idea that religion should be above criticism is absurd.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 - no my claim has real foundation, firstly no areas that have very large asian populations have returned a liberal democrat MP. I do not vote because this country isnt democratic at all! - You prove that yourself when you state that the bnp hasnt a single MP!! haha Parties like respect you keep out - keep power for yourselves! Oh, as for muslims are represented by all three parties - those parties only look after themselves - they represent NO ONE!

  • @MrDataCode

Go join the Neo-Nazis and get out of politics.

  • @MrDataCode So going back to the 1940's will take us forwards, will it?

The BNP are scumbags, plain and simple

  • The Labour party recently said that lib dem supporters should vote for labour to keep the conservatives out. NO! THIS MAKES MEANGRY! We should vote for the lib dems to keep the conservatives AND labour out!! If everyone makes a stand for change by voting lib dems, they might actually have a chance of winning. Don't just assume because they haven't won before that they cannot now!!

  • these idiots are british

  • Remember my friends its going to be you and I who have to tell our children why we did not vote for the LibDem when we all had the hard facts tell us we should. Its a fact that if we dont vote for the LibDems in 2010, you and I we will get more broken promises / blunders/ lies from labour & conservatives, Its going to be a very sad story to tell your children and grandchildren that you and I had that chance for change, I was a conservative for more than 55 years, Im voting for the LibDems.

  • The Conservative & Labours behaviour over the last 50 years is diabolical. All the false statements made with deliberate intent to deceive us so Lord Ashcroft could be a Lord. Ive been a Conservative for more than 55 years, and Im sick of all the smoke & mirrors and broken promises, one after another. My wife and I with friends will be voting for the LibDems.

  • absolute waste of space and a RACIST party!!!!

  • @anillondon89 They are not racist. This is one of the major parties for equality... everyone should have the right to find out their own potential in education etc, including those from other races.

  • @sazzy890 They are a racist party - which is why they avoid ethnic areas

  • @anillondon89

There are Lib Dem councillors in numerous inner city areas in London, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leeds- I have personally met a number of ethnic minority Lib Dem councillors and campaigners. And I have personally campaigned in areas with large ethnic minorities. Your absurd claim is therefore baseless. I would be interested to know what party you support?

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Like I said the the chap earlier, how can it be baseless when its a fact - no areas with a very large asian population has returned a liberal MP. I do not vote because this country is not democratic.

  • @anillondon89

Exactly what evidence do you have that the British Liberal Democrats are 'racist'. They are probably the most tolerant party in British politics- some would say too tolerant.

  • @WORLD8NSH5KNIGHT1 Look at London - the only areas you represent are wealthier outer london boroughs - funny that.

  • Proportional representation, so politicians can't ignore "safe" seats.

  • alot of these people contradict each other...

  • Cuz you have no brains in your heads

  • Lib-Dem are a joke.

  • @stepheng1483

Do you actually have conviction behind that statement? Or are you another one of the morons that have been socialised into this stupid idea that the Lib dem's aren't a serious party?

Here's an idea, try studying their policies and then maybe you'll realise that they deserve the vote more than any other party in the U.K.

  • @stepheng1483

Considering your Youtube profile consists of "White pride" and passages about such things as "Exposing the Jews" and references to your homophobia, I think we can safely ignore your opinion as one of a narrow-minded bigot.

  • We are not the ones who have ruined Britain and made our people's lives a misery, traitors and cowards such as yourself have done that.

  • @stepheng1483 "Made people's lives a misery" In what way has that happened, then? Or is that just an excuse for your prejudices?

Judging by your statement, you'd like to make life a misery for people different to you - Jews, foreigners, gays, and so on.

I, on the other hand, believe in equality.

  • How have these type of people made our people's lives a misery?

By being so soft on crime that crime is an everyday thing. By allowing our country to be invaded with limitless amounts of foreigners (unless something is done, we will be out-numbered in our own country, no other race would put up with that in their own country). By giving £billions of our money away instead of spending it on improving Britain, etc.

Your "equality" has ruined Britain and is causing needless misery.

  • i think your insane. lol in canadayou would go crazy lol coz we have natives

  • ha you think u live in misery then go live in an indian reserve in canada or maybe go take a trip to sudan or burkina faso. and here in Canada people like you are not allowed to operate and hateing a visible minority and those of diffrent sexuality is a CRIME

  • @stepheng1483 lol here in canda the liberals are the natural governing party exept now but by the next election they'll be back in power ith huge majoritys again

  • In Britain they are a bunch of wimpy, cowardly traitors.

  • well here in canada the conservative party had the biggest defeat in history to the Bloc, Ndp, and the Liberals and only managed to get 2 seats. even the con pmlost her own seat. lol the cons are just a joke here

  • @Gardenstatehomecomin IN 1992 or something, and now they're back.

  • no technically not beacause these are new conservatives. they used to be called the reforms beacause in 1992 they still had the PC's (progressive conservatives)

and so the populist right wing party (reform) had to stay reform coz they had the name. and also the PC,s were too weak to hold out in another election so they had formed a coalition with reform in 2003 and the call theselves the CPC now

but beacause of their unruly cabinet and retarded throne speach i expect they will be out soon

  • and correction it was 1993 . and also they have a minority so they have to tow the parliment line or they will be thrown out by the 3 other socialist Bloc who are Quebec National socialists basicly and want quebec to be independant, New Democrats who are far left and the liberals who are Center left.

  • and don't forget they are completely reformed

  • No they aren't

  • yes the consevatives are REFORMED i'm canadian i should know

  • @stepheng1483 Being againgst bigotry towards gays and other races does not make one a "traitor" it makes them decent people, unlike you right wing nationalist scum bags who hate anyone different to you.

  • @Gardenstatehomecomin but your canadian liberals aren't actually liberal at all.

  • HA lol wow you know nothig. Pierre Trudeau PM from 1968 to 79 then from 80 to 84. was a liberal socialist and was banned from enetering the united states in the 50's coz they thought he was a Communist...... wich he was but thats no matter. and he was also a firm beleiver in Liberalism. you are thinking of the jean chrétien liberals when you say that. but they had to be fiscally conservative beacause of how the proggressive conservatives had ruined the economy.

    so yes they are liberals

  • ok, nice

  • I am a LibDem because they deal with local issues more effectivly than tory or labour, they belive in scrapping tuition fees, they are for votes at 16, they dont discrimate, theyre fair and they belive pasionatly in equality

  • @werdanny1994 like i said, no they are not fair and do discriminate. how many lib dems live in multicultural areas? ...maybe they avoid multicultural areas...hmmm

  • The Lib Dems are DIGUSTING a liberal open massive immigration party that has no soultions but to benefit the upper-middle class yet there not affected by there diastrous polices.

  • @12Aggiefan Benefiting the upper middle class? Thats the Tories and New Labour my love.

The LibDems are all about social investment.

  • well so are labour and conservatives , i don't think lib dems are though lol

  • @BZ956 Liars spelt wrong and government capitalised....

  • @BZ956 So what does that make Labour and the Conservatives?

  • There's a thing called the 'preamble' to our party constitution, which sums up all our values in about 1 side of A4. It's really stirring stuff and perfectly written. Every time I read it I know why I am a LibDem. One line says we 'celebrate diversity' and want 'freedom from conformity'. That's what does it for me - that principle that everyone is different and their worth is based not their class or colour or age or how much money they have or how they look. That's liberalism, for me.

  • Perfectly said.

  • Thankyou. 8=) I just wish we could get this across to people, because I think it would really strike a chord, like it does with us.

  • Article IV, Section 4 US Constitution.

The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

Also, the United States isn't built on fairness and feelings, it's built by the constitution.

BTW, welfare and food stamps are also against the constitution.

  • @rossmcl177 well, the proof is in the eating, where do you live my liberal diversity-celebrating friend?

  • @anillondon89 Scotland.

  • @rossmcl177 Then you know nothing of it - move to a multicultural area

  • @rossmcl177 you know I have a massive amount of respect for those ideologies but to get there we need to get the ownership class off our backs. Labour is the party to do that.. Eventually I hope we will reach a stage that the Lib dems can run this country. But right now we need a party that will stand up to them on behalf of the people.

  • @cheyaura Do you really believe that TODAY's labour party is about beating the ownership classes??? The post-Blair Labour party??? Sorry but that's a fantasy. They are now so right-wing that they are almost indistinguishable from the Tories. The most redistributive party in the current election campaign is the LibDems.

  • @rossmcl177 I understand the point you make but I think you have to realise that just how "left wing" (if we are operating uder those terms) any party could be is defined by very restrictive parameters. Thatcher handed a lot of power to the corporations and banks and their influence over the government is very significant. The lib dems would be a great party for maintaining distribution as you eloquantly define it but too fight for it from a position of impariality is ineffective.

  • I have to say PR and fedralism are worth enough goals. However, why in Scotland are the lib "dems" opposing a referendium on Scottish independance; not democratic at all! And scoring political points on the issue of the Libyan bombers realise? This goes agianst the ethical/alternitve view point the lib dems like to think they have.

    Get tae!

  • I hate capitalism but a free market without protectionism would work probably

but that would still be capitalism but "capitalism" is bullshit the way it stands now

Could American health care worK? NO BUT maybe if you get rid of protectionism in the medicine

  • protectionism is necessary in some cases the problem is that it is mostly used in the wrong cases

  • @sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf Go read some s***

    And look at some history

    And s***

    Then come back

  • All Liberal, Gay Socialist scumbags living in the of the United States of America. Leave us now! or Die! May the plagues of Almighty God come down with fury upon all of your heads for your lascivious sins of lust and deception!. May maggots eat your very flesh to the bone until all of you suffer ignominious anguish and death. Die now queers and faggots! You socialist pigs make me sick to the deepest pit of my stomach! It is WAR! AND YOU WILL LOOSE...YOU CHICKEN GIRLIES!!!!! BAK BAK BAK BAK!

  • are you being serious, this sounds like a homophobic attack on your own country.

What do you have againt gays? is it some experience or event that made you so homophobic or are you just sick in the head?

though I personaly am not LGBT I do not protest to their views or activities, you want to know why? Because I am a normal, modern, considerate person who believes in equality and human rights and not a dumb, old fasioned republican ways.

  • Nick Clegg speaks the typical left-wing populist demagoguery. The so-called "high incomes" are produced by most employers: less than 5% of population. Most are not rich at all.

  • That 5% owns 99% of the countries total wealth, so no, obviously not rich at all.

  • They create wealth, NOT own all the wealth. You sound like a socialist, in other words, like a liberal-democrat.

  • Meh, you don't sound like you have too many brain cells so I'll leave you masterbate over the thought of spooning David Cameron's turkey neck.

  • You are silly enough to put together under the label "rich" Warren Buffet and thousands of small employers

  • Don't misunderstand me, I'm all for small buisness. But having a free market sort of betrays that concept, big companies like Tesco's Microsoft and other big buisness monopolies crush small buisnesses into the ground, and well, Conservative's pretty much support the idea of bug buisness and consumerism so meh, I will never vote for them even if you put a gun to my head.

Liberal Democrats aren't all that but I can say, they are best choice of the three in my opinion.

  • and FYI, they aren't socialists. they are liberal centrists, get it right. Labout are on the middle right, Conservatives are on the Far right, Liberal Democrats are centre. Your just calling them socialists because their not the conservatives, McCarthyism didn't die in the 60's, we still have idiots like you going "OMFG SOCIALIST EVIL HITLER!!!11!"

  • Labour on the middle right? Conservatives on the far right? Sounds like the perspective of a radical left-winger, a socialist or communist, not of the majority of Britons. You have given yourself away, my friend.

The reference to McCarthyism is ridiculous. In any case, the Venona files prove McCarthy was right - there WERE Soviet agents in the State Department.

  • I am on the left wing, but I'm also a humanist and pro civil rights. I'm not a communist and generally I try to take the good from all political philosophies and put them in one. You seem to think Socialism goes hand in hand with dictatorship and all the bad shit for some odd reason. You are very naive if you think that.

I take an NHS from Socialism, take Rights from Liberalism and possibly the removal of inheritence tax from Conservatism. Its not just black and white, the worlds a mixed bag.

  • In so far as the Lib Dems support Muslim immigration and multiculturalism they are undermining democracy, destroying Britain's national and cultural identity, and promoting a totalitarian ideology that denies people their human rights.

It is Socialist policies, implemented by the Labour party, that have brought Britain to the brink of extinction as a free and independent country.

Would the Lib Dems behave differently? Nothing their leaders have said leads me to suppose otherwise.

  • The Conservatives are gonna get in next, and watch how nothing changes. You really think Conservatives are all that different?

This Country NEEDS immigration to keep the stength of the pound up. David Cameron is a whimp, he won't do shit to change anything.

  • Britain needs Muslim immigration like a hole in the head. If immigrants are required, they should be carefully selected. Uncontrolled immigration has led to the formation of a Muslim fifth column in Britain. High Muslim birth rates will bring about a Muslim majority in a few decades and consequently the loss of indigenous Britons' rights and freedoms. Non-Muslim Brits will become an oppressed minory in their own country.

  • McCarthy was a retard, he walked around calling anyone who wasn't far right a communist, why don't, I just walk around calling all black people criminals, sure theres a few black people who committ crimes sure as there is white people and all the rest, but why not,

  • If you examine the record, you will find that the overwhelming majority of those accused by McCarthy were in fact communists and Soviet agents. The Venona files prove that.

  • That was true until recently, but Labour has gone completely socialist.

  • No they aren't.

  • They are leftists, which means they are multiculturalists and enablers of Islam.

  • WTF?! How generalised do you want to be?! I'm afraid that "western" politics is a lot more subtle that this and you really need to go and get some books read.

The world isn't divided into "Left" and "Right" any more than you are "English". Your ancestors, whether you like it or not, were a soup of 15-20 nations that all invaded at one time or another.

So it is with politics. One can't legislate for individual cases as you would never get anything done... (cont'd)...
