Jojo's version is better, it's rare when a cover beats the original. Charice's takes away the soothing simplicity of the song because she is trying to sing with soul, jojo doesn't over do it.

JoJo and Charice are both excellent singers and do this song the justice it deserves. That said, I prefer Charice's version because of it's power and impact. I think JoJo's version has too much melisma which detracts from the feel of the song.

I love Charice, but I've never heard of Jojo until my friend - a big fan of hers - introduced her to me. Jojo's voice is AMAZING - heck, both singers are amazing. Like art, singers on the same level of skill are judged based on your preferences, not on who is "better". Depends on your taste :)
