btw, only dumb women would be impressed with a stupid on/off chime sound. the fact that she can't think about pausing to pre-soak, she's just retarded.
She forgot to mention that this washer has a flaw when it comes to water temperature. Hot/Cold only uses warm water (i.e mixes cold with the hot), and the warm is really just luke warm. Her review is really lame. Ideally she should pause the washer, check the water temperature, go over all the settings etc... I'm surprised that people post this useless $hit. PS. I don't work for any appliance companies.
Had the same exact model of these. Wound up selling them, terrible. Yes beautiful design, settings, etc. BUT after a while make your clothes smell moldy and like mildew. I followed all directions as the HE detergents, the amounts, leaving the door open after washes, cleaning out the tub, etc. This model has a serious design flaw. Water gets trapped under rubber liner inside machine. Had service tech even drain hoses for me etc. This LG washer sucks, dryer is awesome though. Good luck! 2,000 dow
If you start the wash cycle with soap& water with your wash just turn it off after it fills & turns a few mins, then turn it off leave it off for 2 hrs or overnight & restart , That way you don't have to deal with the sloppy sink
It's getting close to getting a new washer/drayer. We have always had top loaders. They use about 7 gallons of water, but you have to have water to get cloths clean. You must get the dirt in suspension so you can spin it out.
I have heard bad things about front loader washers. Such as they tend to get musty and bad smells. The rubber gasket ever gets torn it cost over $ 300.00 Plus service call.
Front loaders were first introducted back in the 60's. I guess I will go with top loaders.
@dhansel001 hey here in Europe, we use almost only front loaders, and even the top loaders have the same thechnology like the front loaders.
it dosent get smelly if you wash once in a month with very high temerature, like above 60 degree celsius, that kills ALL germs and Bacteria, wich causes the smell....
How about a review on how it handles unbalanced loads. All the front loaders have all the necessary cycles for just about anything. Any extra's are just fluff features that are not needed or hardly used. The important features are load size, unbalanced load handling and spin speed.
The LG washer is a pain in the neck. Mine is 3 to 4 yrs old. Don't bother trying to wash a small load OR mix any already wet items into your regular load or you'll throw this machine off balance and a digital message says "LE". According to the owner's manual -- call your service person. But meanwhile it's filled the washer with water and your clothes are soaking wet. You then have to run just a spin cycle to get the water out, dry the clothes and try again. I miss my old 15 yr old top loader!
