  • I loved the land rovers befor they got all "bling." just more things to go wrong. besides, its a Land Rover, not an Escalade. Agree?

  • The cost of ownership of a pajero is nothing compared to a land rover are leagues more reliable. Just because it's British doesn't mean you have to have it in the dealer more. Same price Japanese is fat better. I own a disco, its a pile of shit. Only owner second try. Don't buy.

  • The Chiffchaff appears to like it ;-)

  • they got the design down, now if they could take some weight out of it.

  • lovely car - and im a grand cherokee owner (which i love)

  • the reason people think that landrover fail easily is because people didn't have extra money to maintain the freaking car.

  • wtf , when i want to see some pictures of a standing car i search google for them !

more action and less "impressions "of a car standing near some rocks ...

  • oooh yes....!!!

  • Landrovers has bad quality control..

Yours could be good..but overall they have greater percentage lemon cars..

endless visit to dealers and unknow electrical / computer problems are well know.. I know they are the ultimate off road machine but also greater percentage you could get lemon..

  • @chewchewg bullshit, shut the fuck up and learn to speak english

  • alguien save cual es la que trae los limpiabrisas en los faros de enfrente

  • The Best 4x4 By Far

  • @Ram886 You mean this piece of crap? :-) D4 is no more a Land Rover - it's a weird hybrid of cyborg and kebap.

  • Royal off-roader !!

  • The key to understanding where the LR4 fits is the statement it is a "luxury SUV."

I have no doubt that it is a great vehicle and will be just as capable as any other Land Rover made, but the biggest problem lies with the price not targeting where the market is going.

I suppose they really don't want to be a a larger segment of the market with lower priced vehicles to compete with Jeep, etc. I am certain that they can compete in that segment if their new owners choose. I'll hold on to my D1.

  • I cant watch this without wanting to shoot that damn bird in the background! Chirp Chirp, Bang!

  • My family has had several Range Rovers over the years. They're hard to beat, but VERY expensive to maintain.

    I drive a Jeep.

  • I drive a Pajero for the same reason - still love 'rm though

  • I drive a Disco 3/LR3 and have had a Disco 2. I love them. Never had any problems beyond what one would expect with any other car. The combination of prestige, on and off road performance, value and character are hard to beat. I for one will be looking at buying the Disco 5/LR5 when it comes out if it is an all new vehicle (D4/LR4 is primarily a facelift).

  • Honestly yeah Land rovers are unreliable, but only if you don't takecare of them. Unlike other suv I've had. My rover I had to ake care of it like a baby with yearly check ups and everything cuz If not something would go wrong and it would cost me 3 times more. But you know what I don't regret, cuz I've had this baby 10yrs not worth shit anymore, but It still running strong smooth as hell, and can toe anything on road or offroad

  • Landrover used to be gr8 but now the only good models they make are the Defender and the range rover vogue the range rover sport is a waste of time because a wide range of sporty cars are thousands cheaper and the new freelander and discovery's can do absoloutley fuck all

  • they should put the spare tyre on the back like they used to

  • I see more older Land Rovers working than newer BMW and ML Mercedes.

  • I'm still not a fan of that wonky rear glass, but aside from that, there's little NOT to like. The up-town styling update and elegant interior are nice, and the 5.0-liter will probably really perk this thing up.

Hopefully, HOPEFULLY they will start building them better. They did with Jag when Tata acquired them, so I don't see why they can't do the same for LR.

  • as far as land rovers being reliable, they are continaully rated amongst the worst in reliability and resale tests. they are way overpriced and always NOT recommended in the lemon guide to new and used cars, check it out for yourself!

  • Question...have you ever owned a range/land rover. Coz I am sick of non-owners giving pedestrian opinions on a car they have never had. If like most Land Rover owners you have your car maintained well, you'll have no more problems than anyone else and 10 years later your car will still look good. Unless of course you couldnt afford a land rover in the first place and you took shortcuts with maintenance. Therein lies the problem fellow owners...too many wannabes.

  • i have actually owned 2 landrovers. i am from south africa originally and there we have basically landrovers and landcruisers in gas and all diesel options. my defender 110 blew its head after 80k and cost R16 000 to repair. starter issues, transfer case crapped out shortly after etc. ouch. my disco had serious electrical gremlins and always was questionable to drive. i then bought an 80 series diesel cruiser and drove it hard offroad as well for many years with no problems. bad luck maybe?

  • @Zwizzlezar I couldn't agree with you more Zwizzlezar, I have my new Disco 4 parked in front of the house, and you better believe my wife adopted the Disco 3 we've had for years. I've been driving the Disco since there was one, and I will be sure my children and their children appreciate the beauty and utility of the Land Rover brand.

  • @Zwizzlezar lol im hearing you . i bought a disco 2 at about 120000 kms and i had consistent problems due to the previous owner and my lack of knowledge on this vechile. i no longer have my disco, because i had so many problems with this car starting within 6 months of owning it. YES i did all services (major as well) its true what you said , if a car is maintained from new its 90% all good. I will buy another one day , and ill know what to look for next time....

  • Show's how reliable they are, they abandoned it because it broke down so much.

  • any get tired of that bird in that background? kinda makes u think why didnt they just shoot it?

  • underneath all the electronics and bodywork the disco 2 was pretty much the same as the disco 1, which was the same as the original range rover

  • woah! a change in the rear and front lights, i really want that!

  • I like how the background noise is the same in all the LR 2010 videos! ha

  • cause they are often the same in many WCF videos.

  • true

  • this is the only land rover i'd buy...........

  • A mechanic's best friend

  • are the new land rover's not that reliable?

  • Reliability in Land Rover's has always been poor

  • Reliability poor??!! Are you insane? They are among the most reliable machines ever built, Something like 60 per cent of all Land Rover ever built are still in use today. Their reliabilty is why the are so popular in far flung parts of the world. And the are a mechanics best friend because the are so easy to fix when the do go wrong.

  • over 70%

  • people looked after them and kept them going coz generally famers tend to have them n r too cheap to buy a new one

  • 1111111111111111111

    awesome!
