One has to remember that Snakefinger was left-handed, one reason why they were thought of as The Beatles when they first started. There are other instruments though of which he was proficient :-)

In the early Residents tapes (baby sex, & warner Bros.) Snakefinger played the violin on just about every "song". All of The Residents would wail on horns in that Captain Beefheart untrained free-form way, and all the Residents played percussives.
