what the hell movie is this from? Jackie Gleason again at the end? looks like another low budget 'psychsploitation' flick from then. Like "Riot on the Sunset Strip" "Psych Out" "The Trip" and many other terrible but greatly entertaining period pieces trying to cash in on the late 60's hippie trend.
Yeah, it is Jackie Gleason - you can see Bob Hope lurking around in the other clip from this movie, which is How to Commit Marriage. well, of course the band is miming - it's rare to find a live performance in a Hollywood production - you just have to suspend your disbelief for a while :)
Warner Davis - the drummer in this group would like to get in touch with any of the members of the COMFORTABLE CHAIR who may come upon this. Bernie Schwartz, Barbara, Tad, Greg Leroy, Gene Garfin. Call Warner -
Hi Gray-- I get a real kick out of it!!! Warner and I are in Burnett Texas on vacation. It is a tiny town, outside of Austin (population is under 4,000). Warner has a a little house that we use twice a year to get away from the big city. Anyway -- The comfortable Chair just brings back the nostalgia of the 60's, right???
So sweet to hear this only TM group. They were my neighbors in Beverly Glen Canyon (NORTH) before they moved to Venice. They're only LP had a picture of that house on the cover.
love the movie. love the band. love the song. so much love :)

It's a popular belief thatr Jim M "discovered" the Comfortable Chair, but actually it was all down to Robbie K and John D.

@UPCMAN- yep, starring Bob Hope & Jackie Gleason. Jim Morrison "discovered" this band, while Robbie Krieger&John Densmore produced their album.

"White Bird" meets klezmer...these movies made my brain hurt long ago - trying to make Hope and Gleason hip was unforgivable...great music, though.

I finally got a hold of the entire album; such cools stuff...this is probably the best track on the album too.
Thanks so much for posting,
