They really over-did it. Lucy's eyes look like they are glowing and her hair looks like it's on fire.

This seriously looks like it was colorized in photo-shop with transparent color layer.

The colours are all messed up. They did that with Jerry Lewis - The Nutty Professor. Leave well enough alone. Black and White is part of the charm of the show. ACK!

This is the first colorized film I have ever seen.

I am not impressed. Some of the colors are so glaring and almost neon bright.

Not a natural hue at all.

It ruins the film.

If I can't watch color as nature intended then why colorize at all .

@mimicat64 there are better colorizations out there. It's a Wonderful Life had a good one done in 2004 or 06 released as an extra with the film... you know, the way these things should be. I like to think of them as fun alternates as long as they don't supplant the original.

@bkev93 an episode of i love lucy "lucy goes to scotland' was colourized from colour photos taken at the time for publicity and 8mm colour footage filmed by the producer.when legend films showed the colourized footage to the producer's son he thought he was watching the 8mm colour footage again.

That is AWESOME!!!! I've always thought it would be interesting to colorize a classic, but only do one person. There are so many films that were black and white, not because of the "director's vision" but because they had a limited budget. Saying otherwise is ignoring reality. Even films that were meant to be BW would be interesting to see in color just for novelty. I would LOVE a garishly colorized "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" or "Psycho" for the colorized blood down the drain. Art!!!

Desi Arnaz did not compose the theme for I Love Lucy. Both music and lyrics were written by Eliot Daniel as a favor to the show's creator, Jess Oppenheimer, but due to his working for another company at the time he asked that he not receive credit until much later. Needless to say everyone involved thought it was perfect. Many people also think the lyrics weren't written until Desi performed them late in season two. Actually the lyrics were written at the same time as the music.

I hate when they put color into the Black and White TV shows and movies...it looks terrible. they just ruin a classic show or movie when they do that. even when early TV shows were in B & W then went to color in the later seasons it looks fine. (for Example) I Dream of Jeanie and Gilligan's island the early Episodes were B &W then later ones went to color.......but the color in I Love Lucy is terrible,.
