FYI: Sherrod wasn't fired because of a video clip the Obama administration saw on Fox News, she was fired BEFORE Fox News ever played the clip. The NAACP also didn't denounce her because of what they saw on Fox News. Both of these entities went after Sherrod because the clip in question appeared on Andrew Breitbart's website. Afterward, the MSM falsely claimed that the clip was "heavily edited," when in fact, it was not edited at all, it was an EXCERPT from a larger, 40-minute speech.
Nothing in the clip was edited in any way, it was merely incomplete (as all excerpts are) and consequently taken out of its larger context by both the NAACP and the Obama White House. The MSM also claimed that the Obama administration and the NAACP made their decisions based on Fox News' coverage of the event, which is completely false.
All of the major news outlets ran the story on the same day, and it was the story that Sherrod had been fired. That was the story that Fox ran, and like everyone else, they played the video clip that started it all.

FYI: Sherrod wasn't fired because of a video clip the Obama administration saw on Fox News, she was fired BEFORE Fox News ever played the clip. The NAACP also didn't denounce her because of what they saw on Fox News. Both of these entities went after Sherrod because the clip in question appeared on Andrew Breitbart's website. Afterward, the MSM falsely claimed that the clip was "heavily edited," when in fact, it was not edited at all, it was an EXCERPT from a larger, 40-minute speech.

Nothing in the clip was edited in any way, it was merely incomplete (as all excerpts are) and consequently taken out of its larger context by both the NAACP and the Obama White House. The MSM also claimed that the Obama administration and the NAACP made their decisions based on Fox News' coverage of the event, which is completely false.

okay wait a minute.... they fired her before fox news had even aired the first mention of the tape. To further it, the guy who posted the tape did it on youtube and edited it himself, NOT fox news. The only reason they blame fox news is because they can and people will believe it. They said that she would be on "glenn beck" that night so they told her to resign... he hadn't even mentioned her until the next day and he defended her, saying "this was a pivot point in her life... context matters!"
