Kootra just asking, wouldn't it be better for quality and preformance while playing to simply record demos then use source recorder to get them to an avi format? I mean recording sound through steriomix takes barely anything off the CPU.

Thoughts? I don't see any downsides except that you wont be recording in the lobby. Oh and it would improve the loading time.

Some of the best usually present gameplay links to youtube. There's alot of crap in there (not viruses but not every map is top quality) but most of it is quite good.

For console. Xbox might be getting some. Valve made a blogpost on the l4d2 blog saying that they might add custom maps through DLC, and knowing valve it will be cheap. Check the latest post on the blog.

Custom maps are easy to install.

You just download the files, usually it's only a .vpk file, then you just drag it to (on, it's supposed to execute the file) the addoninstaller.exe in the steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/bin/addons folder. Then it automaticly installs, you can make a shortcut and drag stuff there. Very simple :)
