Yep yep. That program offered at:

    TopWoodWorking.info

id rate it as the best of the specialized

    collections on woodworking. You should

have this kit especially you are still

    beginner.:)) Dont worry cause they

    have complete instructions in it.

  • it"S ok when the mistake happens in the start, awkward is when you are about to finish and the you f***k it up;) it happens to me alot

  • Great videos man, thanks for getting me into wood turning.

  • So other people mess up too!! Thanks for posting this.

  • Glad you left the blooper in. I thought I was the only one who did that!

  • I lol'd when you fucked that first spoon and the grain split, but really I'm jealous I don't have your equipment. This is pretty awesome.

  • I would like to purchase my own wood turning machine. How much am I expected to spend and what do you recommend?

  • @tannerturlington You should expect to spend between $250.00 to $700.00 on a lathe. I just got a new Delta.

  • @haydenHD Thank you sir! I thought they cost more than that.Glad they don't!

  • excellent as usual .... great tip removing a couple of the jaws i would not have thought of that thankyou

  • to form the back of the spoon couldn't you have made it thicker and then after doing the inside of the spoon with the chuck on the lathe, just turned it around and turned it?

  • why dont you just put a pencil witness mark on your piece to show you where to stop.its no different than any other turning.

  • Soon as you got that peice in the lathe and started turning I thought..This looks tricky...and then bang you caught the edge! Made me jump LOL!!! Great video as usual! Hope you didnt hurt yourself.

  • Capt Eddie is pretty awesome. I've learned alot from the two of you. Thanks for the support.

  • Thank you! Glade our videos help.

    Carl

  • Hi Carl, here from Finland,

One day I too just might learn to do some "small" (nice) things ;-)

  • Small stuff is a lot of fun. I really want to try some of that segmenting.

  • @haydenHD

    Easy, 12 segment is 360/12=30 and then 30/2= 15 degrees and 8 is 360/8=45 then 45/2=22.5 degrees

PS. They say that I am nuts to cut nice wood to "nothing" and then clue it all back...

  • Thank you,

  • @haydenHD were can i get one of those clamps

  • @rctractorboy I think you mean the chuck? It's a Nova chuck

  • Great Video, thanks again. I really loved you leaving the catch in. I could make a full feature video of all my bad catches. It's nice to know everyone does that now and then. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing.

  • Hi Ron,

Thanks I think we all could put a nice video together of bloopers.

  • Great idea Carl!

I always carve my spoons by hand but this was a cool way to do it on the lathe!

    Thanks! /Nic.

  • Thanks Nic. Thought it would be fun.

    Carl

  • @haydenHD

I bet it was and it turned out just great!

  • hah I like that you put in the botch job. great vid

  • Great video .... Keep them coming.

  • Another great video,thanks.. /Mats

  • Thanks Mats,

  • Thanks Mats,

  • Great stuff Hayden. I got two little spoon carving chisels a wile back and have yet to use them. Will give it a go soon. The turning of the handle certainly speeds things up.

    Dec

  • Thanks, it dose speed up the process.

    Carl

  • "You dog and a laugh, blooper reel" know that's funny. Nice project, as always really enjoy your videos. Thanks Carl.

  • Thanks John. I thought I would keep that in.

  • nice pile of wood there in the first segment, i liked that you put in the one you trashed in the video. i wasn't expecting that. "there is no spoon"

  • Just trying to keep it real. :)

  • I think I need lessons on using a skew...I always catch the corner and ruiin whatever project I am working on..... and speaking of catches or mistakes in general...thanks for including that one in the video...it feels better to know that even an expert makes a faux pas once in a while....but don'w worry...you still da man.

  • @Buzzsawman i never use the skew either because i can't seem to get ti right!!

  • Far from expert, but thank you. I think it good to let everyone know that things go wrong for everyone sometimes.

    Thanks,

    Carl
