I bought the original SF4, started arcademode on easy with Ryu and gave up when i came to Seth. Then i tried the trials with Ryu and i did 2 of 6 challanges and gave up again. I'm simply not a fightinggame player.

@gildischnack it's because the hadoken must be far from Dan try crouching mk hadoken fadc U2 if done right will connect because Y1 will have armor breaking property

@michealharty : Evil Ryu is not unlockable, you have to buy "Street Fighter 4 ARCADE EDITION", downloadable content or buy the disc, and you'll have Evil Ryu.

@xMoreTx These are basically practice modes to help even out your technique. One of the greatest things about fighting games for me is the technique needed for combos and moves. It adds a layer of skill alongside the mindgames and strategies.

@11zoomzoom11 bugged A.I at the most uneccesary times, players playing on 1 map only, and worst of ALL: making copy characters from other characters (for example Evil Ryu from Ryu as Evil Ryu has litterally a recoloured version of Ryu's moveset) this proves that CAPCOM is running out of ideas and instead of new maps (or addition of maps from the past 7 (BUNGiE refference FTW) million Street Fighter games) we get 1 more character and a recolour not even worth 1200 points

@waltdisney19282008 Ok, "players play on one map only"? Are you referring to the training stages, which all occur in the white room or the majority of the game, in which there are about 20 stages? And in terms of characters, there were 2 new characters from SFIV to SSFIV, and 4 more in the 'arcade edition'. While Evil Ryu was similar (not quite a reskinning) to Ryu and Oni was similar to Akuma (again similar, not a copy) there were also two entirely new characters. (character limit)

@waltdisney19282008 The AI is most certainly not broken or bugged and even if it was, the game is centered on playing multiplayer, locally or otherwise. A side note on maps: in Street Fighter (or any other fighting game) maps don't matter unless they directly affect the gameplay which maps in street fighter never have. And the 'arcade edition' update was just that, an update. DLC. Whatever you want to call it. You don't have to buy it if you don't want to. It was made so supplement SSFIV.

@Kentino I dunno if number 9 is possible, with a d pad controller. i am using the d pad on a logitech F510. My Kick and Punch are flawlessly smooth, but no matter how I try to throw the fireball it will not throw into a combo, it fires about 50 milliseconds to late.

@Kentino @amplifier316 that's one of the easiest things on the game. while you are crouching you press HP and still crouch as you start moving from down to downforward-> forward and you press again the punch button to perform the hodoken!

@amplifier316 you have to keep the stick down for the crouch and normally if you move the stick right after the Hard punch to the right or left depending on where your standing, i can do it without even having to input the punch for the hadouken

@Linkfan0001 trials are for teaching you how to link combos properly, so you will not get blocked in middle of combo and get punish for 50% hp by better sagat player :) CPU has autoblock, so it only block if you miss right timing. Basically, it simulates normal player who holds back (blocking) and if you miss timing in trial, you will miss it in real match too.

1st is that if 2nd cr MP or cr HK does not come out, you are press button too fast, if he blocks it, its too late

2nd, check Dans hp bar when you hit him, small light is coming around HP bar, when it is near Dans "avatar" you have to land another attack. Hope this helps.

@nomongoes Go watch VesperArcades SSF4 Ryu trails man, it shows him doing the input and you can hear him pressing the buttons, just try and time it similar to him and you should get it in a few tries. I only picked up the game today and I'm only average at the game, but it just requires precise timing.

@allan0ff 360 official pads are awful, I brought a SSF4 fight pad as I'm useless with sticks but I'm good on a D-pad. If you're on a PS3 it should be easier on a pad than on 360. Its just what you're used to though really.

@salfratuka You have to do all of them in a certain amount of time. The one you are trying to do is when you are doing the focus attack you have to do it fast. Some moves you have to put the commends through super fast or it will never connect.

@salfratuka You just cancel the Hadoken into focus, like you did with Cr. HP > Hadoken. Just make sure you tap focus, programming the quick buttons helps too.
