First off, the Flyers lay claim to the Southern half of NJ, which is FAR less populated than North Jersey, so that point of yours is already dead.

Second of all, the Devils have a solid season ticket holder base, are in the top ten among American NHL franchises in households watching on television, and, while not selling out every game, have averaged 15,500 since moving to Newark.

The Devils have been here for nearly 30 years. They're not going anywhere.

The majority of Devils fans are barely out of college. Give it some time. The fanbase is growing.

No one chokes better than Philadelphia. It's amazing cause the Flyers were a better team than the Devils that year. The devils just wanted it more and the Flyers made the mistake of trying to rush Lindros back...but no, they freaked out after losing game 5, and folded like a chair.
