This video is yet another excellent example of the impassioned, logical and urgent message to California voters to make a fair and just decision on election day, November 4, 2008. Above all else, this truly is a civil rights issue, to preserve the equal protection clause of the California constitution. If you believe in equality and fair treatment for all, then please... do the right thing. Don't write discrimination against one group of citizens into the constitution. Vote NO on prop 8.
As a resident of Los Angeles, I've seen a lot of these places. I've been with my partner for over two years, and the plan with both of us is that we'll get married in a couple more. I'd sure hate if that were actually illegal by that time, for both us and other couples.
I do plan to help Let California Ring out, too. I don't have that much money, as an unemployed college student, but I work hard to humanize the issue, one person at a time.
