Peyton Hillis is a beast. I knew that the first time I saw him in a Bronco uniform. He eventually got hurt in 2008. In 2009, He fumbled too much for McDaniels, so he hardly used him, then trades him to the Browns for nothing. I like to say it takes a team to win games, but Hillis almost single handlingly took down the Champs Saints and one of the best teams in the past 10 years, the Patriots. Now Denver is 3-8 and Cleveland is probably having thier best year since they rejoined in 99.
As a Browns fan, when I watched Hillis run over our d-fence his rookie year, I remember thinking, "Oh my god we fucking suck, we can't even stop some no-name scrawny white halfback!"

Hillis, Shipley and Welker are great role models for young white kids. The reality is, most young white kids, even if they are very good, are not given a fair chance at certain positions. "Sorry kid...you've got skill...but you'll never be a high caliper receiver or running back....just the way it is". Sure some transition to the college level, but no many to the pro level. It only makes sense that some white kid would emulate these guys. It's a good thing for everyone.

White RB's need to break through the stigma that black QB's broke through. If Peyton Hillis continues to do good in Cleveland and if Danny Woodhead gets moved back to RB than we might start to see more white RB's in the future. Since people have the believe that white people can't play RB they get moved to FB or LB so you don't see them develop. It was the same way with black QB people didn't think they could do it so they were made WR's.

This is why i'm so happy McD is gone. He only picked who he wanted, and never understood his play calls.

@metallicarules56 I don't either, considering he thought that he can live with a RB depth this year of Moreno/Buckhalter and traded Hillis for Brady Quinn, which was useless since he took Tebow in this years' draft. Then when Moreno and Buckhalter went down, McDaniels went as far as to trade for Lawrence Maroney. Also McDaniels also wasted time getting then cutting Fargas.

josh mcdaniels might still have his job if he had watched any of the 2008 team films. hillis has been in the league 3 years, and in two of those years he led (or will lead in '10) his team in rushing. and i will also bet this guy will get more yards in 2010 after he is tackled than all the brocos rb's combined.

Peyton Hillis is a beast. I knew that the first time I saw him in a Bronco uniform. He eventually got hurt in 2008. In 2009, He fumbled too much for McDaniels, so he hardly used him, then trades him to the Browns for nothing. I like to say it takes a team to win games, but Hillis almost single handlingly took down the Champs Saints and one of the best teams in the past 10 years, the Patriots. Now Denver is 3-8 and Cleveland is probably having thier best year since they rejoined in 99.

It's not luck when the Bears have a winning record against Micheal Vick. Bears have one of the worst O lines in the league and Cutler shredded them. Also, the onside kick of the Eagles/Bears game at the end of the game, was a botched call. The booth should have challenged it, the eagles should have gotten the ball with a good minute and a half left, and had an opportunity, for them not to even look at that play is beyond me.

Hillis isn't all that great I'd rather have a RB that can maintain game over one thats going to fumble the ball tryna get extra yardage. Just look at Peterson hes probably the best back in the league but I'd take Foster Or johnson over him every day Peterson caused his team a championship last year with the fumbles, he has gotten ahold of that problem this year tho but Hilis has 5 fumbles rite now second most in the league.

Hillis, Shipley and Welker are great role models for young white kids. The reality is, most young white kids, even if they are very good, are not given a fair chance at certain positions. "Sorry kid...you've got skill...but you'll never be a high caliper receiver or running back....just the way it is". Sure some transition to the college level, but no many to the pro level. It only makes sense that some white kid would emulate these guys. It's a good thing for everyone.

Well I hate M&M but I love this Peyton Hillis kid. Kinda reminds me of a kid the Broncos had about 20 years ago named Blake Ezor, outta Michigan State. I seem to remember when he signed with the Razorbacks he said something about his goals were to win the Heisman & to be a 1st round draft choice in the NFL. Of coarse, that was before anybody had heard of a couple of guys named Felix Jones & Darren McFadden. He just had the misfortune of playing in the same backfield with those guys.

White RB's need to break through the stigma that black QB's broke through. If Peyton Hillis continues to do good in Cleveland and if Danny Woodhead gets moved back to RB than we might start to see more white RB's in the future. Since people have the believe that white people can't play RB they get moved to FB or LB so you don't see them develop. It was the same way with black QB people didn't think they could do it so they were made WR's.
