  • Would you know if anything exists that would turn on the rear brake light, while rolling off the throttle?

  • @AeonDeity Hmmm...not sure if something like that exists, but not sure I'd want it? It would turn the brake light on every time the throttle is released, probably not a good idea? When you roll off the thottle, you could engage the brakes with the foot or right hand to turn on the brake light if you want.

I share your skepticism, I've just noticed cars coming up very close to me when I roll off the throttle, unaware that I'm slowing down.

They've come up quite close, almost causing crashes.

Good idea you have, I might need to adjust my riding style rather than finding a device.

  • @AeonDeity Maybe also make sure you're wearing high-viz gear, maybe larger brake or running lights in the rear also? It is said that the narrow profile of motorcycles causes a sort of optical illusion that makes them appear farther away than they really are to other drivers, which is one of the reasons why cars turn left in front of motorcycles so often.

  • You can add an LED compatible flasher (electronic, not resistive) and it will flash at the normal rate.

  • My LED tail light is brighter than yours.

    See my video.

  • The one on the rights brighter,

  • You said it...
