  • One of the heaviest songs to come out of that era...I've never tired of it...She, Hendrix, Cream & the Doors were the heaviest of the heavy.

  • @Proxo20 That's an opinion, a very ignorant one I may add. It's ONE OF the best songs of the 20th Century; not THE BEST. Seriously, why is it that on every video of '60s music on YouTube, there are nothing but die-hard fanboys? I love Janis Joplin/Big Brother and the Holding Company; but I like a lot of other music of the era as well as the hits of the '50s, '70s, '80s, and early '90s(Nirvana). They're not the best band that ever lived, but they are one of the best........

  • @Transformers2themax May I interject?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and in mine, There will never ever be a best song ever as it changes day to day, hour to hour Depending on our mood. This is and always be an awesome track but if not in the mood for it. I'm not and therefore I don't want to hear it. My point is that opinions change depending on the mood of the individual... Please don't ever label anyone as Ignorant.. Maybe they just weren't in the mood for it at the time.... Respect

  • Hardest...blues...ever.

  • PERFECT EASTER MUSIC i'D SAY

  • God I love that woman... Toast.. to the baddest bitch who ever walked the face of the motherfuckin Earth.. Little girl Blue.. an yeah, I might be a bit drunk ;)

  • heavy blues stuff right here

  • Que version!!! tan desgarradora!!!! tan... intensa... llorare

  • makes the hair stand right up on your arms

  • LSD music. End of story. With James Gurley's hellfire and brimstone guitar laying down the gospel.

  • @flamesounds hah best description of that guitar playing!

  • @flamesounds not trying to be a dick man but sam andrews is the one playing lead guitar on this track james is laying down rhythm like he does on most big brother tunes

  • @able506 I bought this album in 1968 when it was released. Sam Andrew is a friend of mine, as are Peter and Dave. I have unreleased tracks of mine Dave has played on. I know what I'm talking about. That is James Gurley playing the solos on Ball And Chain. James played as many solos as Sam did. Before Janis joined the band James was their star attraction with his wild feedback guitar solos. He even duelled with Hendrix a time or two. Now you know the truth.

  • @flamesounds well then the album cover art is incorrect because i checked it myself a few minutes ago it reads lead guitar:sam

  • @able506 What did R.Crumb know about guitar? Tell you what, if you don't believe me email Sam on his Facebook page and ask him. Or watch a couple of the live videos on YouTube and see for yourself who played it. James played the solo On 'Combination of the Two' and he and Sam both soloed on 'I Need a Man To Love' and 'Summertime' Sam soloed on 'Piece Of My Heart' Peter played the solos on 'Turtle Blues' and 'Oh, Sweet Mary'

  • @flamesounds your right im wrong my bad

  • They were good that day and time even today it still sounds good :)

  • amazing tone
