  • The my space link is broken

  • OMG! This video is so offensive to those of us who actually have Autism ~ This video makes us look like rocking, drooling morons! THIS DOES NOT REPRESENT AUTISTIC PEOPLE! PLEASE REPORT & FLAG THIS VIDEO AS OFFENSIVE!

  • THANK YOU Sean. I work at a facility for adults with severe and profound mental retardation. I work in the behavior department and I teach a class on Positive Behavior Support. I came across your video a few months ago and have added it into my presentation. I also have a son who has mild to moderate mental retardation and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). so I can not thank you enough for making this song and video.

  • Awesome video Sean!

  • hÏhi_âny_gÛÿs_wANt_tø_chÀt_with_mÊ

  • @sdotlyric,

I'm happy to see the spammer not posting here anymore...very negative and probably posing.

I have 16 years of autism under my belt and there are posers out there, they claim they are aspergers and are against autism organizations, when in reality, they are not aspergers...they are angry, mentally disfunctional(Bi-polor) people who claim a diagnosis for funding and basically go against organizations who could one day dismantle their "cause" as the diagnosis becomes more "pin-pointed

  • i don't even like rap, but like this for some reason.

  • @EndTimeDelusion1 Thank you, it is a powerful song !

  • @sdotlyric Please may i re-upload this?

  • wow dude, Straight chills. I have chills and no words but to say keep on going!

  • @SurferMan2713 Thanks man, appreciate the kind words !

  • GREAT Job! You bring some great and spiritual meaning to the rhymes and rhythm! You are a gift to us all!

  • @TODnMO That means alot, I am not your average MC

  • Wow......Loved it! Great job my friend! You are a gift to us all!

  • this is soooooo awsome. but my 11year old autistic son just heard it and he became very angrey about having autism... just took me some kind words and a hug to make him realise he is so special to me :)

  • @02fnky4u Tell him, I personally think that he is special as well, that's why I created this song !

  • 49 people need to open their eyes

  • @JustJustTV2 49 Million people need to Open their Eyes

  • Peace Sean, OpuS MonK here.. Love the message the music.Powerful!. ..Get it..

  • in your lyrics you ask if i hear you well yes i do. awesome song.

  • Great message :-)

  • Not only are they people's brothers and sisters, they're people in their own right too. Jeez.

  • you know all those abandoned mental hospital videos on youtube? those had to be shut down because the government wouldn't put severly disabled people where they belong

  • This is the first thing I've found on this entire autismspeaks channel which didn't disgust me.

You have your heart in the right place, Sean, at least you don't seem to imply that we're broken and can be fixed.

I'm autistic, btw, on the milder end of the spectrum, but while I can not empathize with you, I know what the kids in these videos are going through in a way which you can't.

Just an example, I don't stim to get attention, I stim to release pressure in my head, it hurts if I don't.

  • I always cry when I watch this video... I'm going through SCIP training at my day program now, and we watched this video. Once again, it made me cry.

  • This is INCREDIBLE! As an occupational therapist who tries sooo hard to meet the needs of others and to "educate" others....THIS is what I needed to "refresh" my commitment and now,...this will assist others to better understand! You have not only opened minds, but hearts too. You're quite! a young man!! Thank you!

  • I personally don't listen to rap, but heard of this video, and had to check into it. AWESOME JOB!!!! I have a 3 year old Autistic daughter, and know all to well the dirty looks, second glances, harsh comments..etc. Thank you for showing your support, and widening the awareness to another area of everyday life! God Bless!

  • this touched me that someone that raps is concerned with autism that is not the norm, rap is usually greedy. i am 19 in collage and i am still trying to figure out my 12 year old brothers autism. i feel helpless because altho my parents know they act like its non existing so he doesn't get the help he needs and im left wondering about the future.

  • oh man thats deep great job sean thank you

  • I work at a residential center that deals with people with disabilities. This video made me cry when I saw it the first time, because I truly care for the guys I work with.

  • THIS is absolutely stunning, not just for the banging beat...but for it's completely timely message. Much love brother. My boys rockout to this. Thanks from them.

  • Your video brings up strong emotions for me. My older brother is four going on forty-seven. He's mentally retarded and has been beaten, starved, emotionally and psychologically abused ever since he was forced out of Georgia Retardation Center over twelve years ago.

There are plenty of people like Bobby and others who still get treated like he was or worse. Many former clients that I have known since I was a boy are no longer alive because of the "community" providers in my state.

  • You to can Support Autism Awareness, for your fundaraiser, I have made it easy, Search Zazzle for tshirtblitzco its simple and convenent.

  • I work for an arc in upstate ny and this video is excellent, simply excellent, completely caring and unselfish. i love it.

  • Absolutely great job Mr. Delaney. They are not alone, ever. As a parent of two boys, 8 & 4...thanks for noticing our children. :)

  • My son, he wants out of autism, I try to help. He suffers and so do I.

He and I have something in common, we both suffer from autism.

  • I have this in my favorites and i reminds me that someone KNOWS what I deal with everyday.

My son is 17 yrs old and autistic.

Thank you for just knowing what I go through. Thank you.

  • Assholes!

  • where do you think this is getting you? Guess what I dont support Autism speaks, I dont agree with their methods. But not everything they do or say is evil. This video is good, it might motivate people to help.. You can help more by showing what autism kids can do, to help the world.. Fighting and being negative wont help your cause. It will make people not even look at what you have to say.. Peace brother..

  • Sean you Rock and Thank you.. I am not a fan of rap, but your song brother makes me fan.. Thank you from a father of an austistic son.. thank you..

  • anyway is there lyric of this song?

  • I personally do not like rap, but I have to give you credit. That was awesome. As a father of a 4 year old Autistic son, I see it daily. Its people like you that help get the word out. My son JT thanks you and others like you.... So do I...

  • This is a wonderful video and I am going to show it to my students at school where we have 3 rooms of autistic Students. I think they will like it!

  • Thank you My Son has AUTISM and was just abused at school it was in the racine wi journal times also on fox 6 news in milwaukee wi check it out

  • I love what your sayin! Go Sean!

We live the life we are given, the "perfect People" are not worth our time.....

    back under the bridge trolls!

  • I have Aspergers and I wouldn't want to FULLY cure my Autism, because my talents would go away, BUT I would like to cure certain parts like the sensitivity hearing I have, lack of eye contact and to cure the rest of my social problems.

  • have you ever tried to make staring contests a game? :)

  • Yes, and they don't work.

  • sweet!!! my names sean delaney too!!!

  • good for you sean. ignore the ugly comments on the board. mean spirited people who don't get it. shame on them.

  • me tooo

  • dude no way my name is sean delaney too!!

  • One more addition to what i stated earlier...In one of our trainings.."Effective Interactions"...it is started out with this video, then people are asked what they felt or got from this video...couple things for people to take a closer look at...the line about "rocking back and forth to you get some feed back" and also with the parent handing their child to a stranger. This video is a great way for everyone to open there eyes and HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sean---i work for a non-profit agency in philly called SPIN, INC...KEEP UP THE POSITIVE MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • autismspeaksisgay is a troll

  • I'm not "trapped" in my mind, I just prefer it to the company of NTs.

  • You may not be, but my nonverbal son is. Be thankful you've got the skills you do, he has NO way to get his feelings across.

  • Really? Or do you just don't see it?

  • I don't get the impression that autistic people are "horrible monsters" by watching any of this.. much less me being "brainwashed" into thinking it.

  • I like the vid. Not the opinions of the posters.

  • i don't see how this is saying that autistic people are horrible monsters. please enlighten me.

  • Comment removed

  • i hate this

  • agreed

  • what is there to hate?

  • this is a great song i have an 18 year old with autism and he is the sweetest boy a mother could ever love

  • are you kidding me? do you realize that the people who featured this video are very sick people who are demonizing, stereo-typing, and terrorizing innocent autistic people? Your 18 year old son is probably a sweet boy, except autism speaks wants people to think that he is a confused, dangerous, and violent criminal.

  • Hey Sean, Your video is the best. I have gave this link "Open Your Eyes" to everyone who works with my son. Thank you for caring about them.

  • Actually I am Sean Delaney, and your negative comments are way to late because this video is used all over the country for training purposes and promoting advocacy. It means nothing to me that there are ignorant people out there dying to voice there shallow black hearted opinion. To everyone else, thank you so much for the positive messages ! The next song is really going to make the haters mad...watch out !

    Sean Delaney (The real 1)

  • Are you fucking kidding me? Do you realize that these people who are posting these "negative comments" are autistic people themselves? Thanks to you helping autism speaks, their campaign of spreading ignorance has gotten one step further. I am an autistic teenager and I wish to wipe out autism speaks

  • If you are the "real" Sean, please contact me. In Florida, there is limited help for kids with Autism. My grandaughter has/is Pdd/NOS...and my grandson has lots of issues still not speaking at 2yrs of age. We are now being told to wait until he's three....wondering if you know of anything here in Florida for Autism spectrum disorders? EXCELLENT video and Song!! Thank you!!

  • i know all about the disibilitys bitch, and its not a sickness, nice song for not knowing much

  • trolling all over @ autismspeaksisgay

block me and ill be back

  • wow, your a troll? Epic fail, trolls never admit they are a troll. Also I am not a troll, trolls troll to get a reaction out of someone, but I'm not spamming because I want to get a reaction out of autism speaks I'm spamming because they are terrorizing and discriminating innocent autistic people.

  • this song brought a tears to my eye, and to the low life trolls like "autismspeakisgay"

need to move on with your trolling ass. no one needs you in this department bitch and find shit some where else to troll over, i should fucking know, IM A TROLL,FUCKER

  • well done... you got it down.
