Listen, both stab and technician increase the BASE damage of the move by 1.5. So can you at least agree that if you just do stab and ignore technician for a moment, then the initial 70 damage would get multiplied by 1.5, (AKA get half of it added on to it), making the total 105? Presuming that we're in agreement up to this point then lets add technician into it.
@abbebelino you're math is a bit off. The idea of the extra .5 damage from technician is that you're adding it to the amount. The easiest way to add .5 of course being to multiply 1.5 by the original amount, but since we're adding .5 of the original amount twice due to STAB and technician, you're just doubling the original amount. So instead of 35*2*1.5*1.5=157.5, it's actually 35*2*2=140.

Instead you're multiplying the new damage. The game will always increase the base damage. This is why I prefer to use addition instead of multiplication for this. Simply put it's less messy. @thekingbradable For one thing, blissey is a higher tier pokemon in competitive battling (ou for blissey, bl for porygon z). Blissey is the single best special wall in the game. Porygon-z while having excellent spa, its speed is mediocre and it defenses are pretty bad. Blissey is a far more beneficial addition to most teams.
@rcrsoccerkid The legendary birds of gen 3, dogs of gen 2, lake trio of gen 4 all can enter the battle frontier too. By that logic you must think none of them are legendary. There was NEVER anything to indicate that the battle frontier excluded legendaries.
For me it's 10. Raticate 9. Bibarel 8. Bidoof 7. Blissey 6. Rattata 5. Arceus 4. Minezumi 3. Porygon 2. Eevee 1. MIRUHOG/MIRUHOGGU. I just love this evill crossing guard chipmunk so much. It's my favorite Pokémon of Generation 5.

@farrell915 While it takes special hits far better then physical, that doesn't mean a physical attack is an atuomatic ko. a choice banded max attack (max ivs, 252 atk evs, adamant nature) stone edge won't ko a max defense, max hp blissey without it getting a critical hit. unless a pokemon has access to a good fighting type move and enough power behind it, or it has boosted its stats with moves like dragon dance, blissey won't be ko'd easily. check the facts
@gamelvr1 ok but have to realize what are the odds of you having all that time to boost the stats with dragon dance, reflect etc... and what if someone uses cross chop.. does that not kill it? most likely yes
@farrell915 yes, while a strong physical fighting type move from a potent attacker will ko a blissey more then likely, it doesn't negate blissey's usefullnes in competitive battling, whether it be wish passing, absorbing special attacks or status moves, then there's it's status inflicting ability, all pokemon have strengths and weaknesses, blissey actually is a good defensive pokemon. only having one weakness does help

@farrell915 blissey isn't meant to be an offensive pokemon, it's best used as a utility/special wall/team support position. you'll almost never see a good stall team with out a blissey. it's the best special wall out there. have you ever done competitive battling, most of the best attackers will go down far more easily then blissey. Generally speaking all out offensive teams pail in comparison to balanced teams (usually has a physical wall and special wall).

@farrell915 for the record cross chop isn't a that good of a fighting move, even a max attack choice banded electivire using cross chop only has a slim chance of ohko (it does 87-103.4 % damage on the max defense, max hp blissey. the most likely means to ohko a blissey is good prediction with self destruct/explode, or a stab boosted physical fighting type move from a potent attacker

@TheTRMR Without getting in battle boosts (like from download or nasty plot) it's max special attack is 405. Anybody can boost their stats, it's the base stats that matter, and porygon z is tied with alakazam for highest special attack of non legendary pokemon. not all legendary pokemon are overpowered. while most ubers are legendary pokemon, only half are ubers. heck there a handful that are in the lowest tier in competitive battling.

@thekingbradable For one thing, blissey is a higher tier pokemon in competitive battling (ou for blissey, bl for porygon z). Blissey is the single best special wall in the game. Porygon-z while having excellent spa, its speed is mediocre and it defenses are pretty bad. Blissey is a far more beneficial addition to most teams.

@rcrsoccerkid The legendary birds of gen 3, dogs of gen 2, lake trio of gen 4 all can enter the battle frontier too. By that logic you must think none of them are legendary. There was NEVER anything to indicate that the battle frontier excluded legendaries.

@farrell915 While it takes special hits far better then physical, that doesn't mean a physical attack is an atuomatic ko. a choice banded max attack (max ivs, 252 atk evs, adamant nature) stone edge won't ko a max defense, max hp blissey without it getting a critical hit. unless a pokemon has access to a good fighting type move and enough power behind it, or it has boosted its stats with moves like dragon dance, blissey won't be ko'd easily. check the facts

@farrell915 yes, while a strong physical fighting type move from a potent attacker will ko a blissey more then likely, it doesn't negate blissey's usefullnes in competitive battling, whether it be wish passing, absorbing special attacks or status moves, then there's it's status inflicting ability, all pokemon have strengths and weaknesses, blissey actually is a good defensive pokemon. only having one weakness does help

@farrell915 blissey isn't meant to be an offensive pokemon, it's best used as a utility/special wall/team support position. you'll almost never see a good stall team with out a blissey. it's the best special wall out there. have you ever done competitive battling, most of the best attackers will go down far more easily then blissey. Generally speaking all out offensive teams pail in comparison to balanced teams (usually has a physical wall and special wall).

@farrell915 for the record cross chop isn't a that good of a fighting move, even a max attack choice banded electivire using cross chop only has a slim chance of ohko (it does 87-103.4 % damage on the max defense, max hp blissey. the most likely means to ohko a blissey is good prediction with self destruct/explode, or a stab boosted physical fighting type move from a potent attacker

Kangaskhan is a lesser version of Tauros in terms of stats.. although Kangaskhan does have Dizzy Punch, so it is a tough draw.

Top 5 IMO:
1. Snorlax (High defense and sp. defense and good attack stats)
2. Slaking (Highest stat total of all pokemon, but has the worst ability ever...)
3. Blissey (The best sp. wall in the games, but attack and defense suck badly)
4. Togekiss (High special stats)
5. Porygon-Z (High Sp. Attack)

@TheTRMR hopefully you mean highest special attack of normal types, because he doesn't have the highest overall, he is tied with alakazam for highest of non legendary pokemon, darkrai is tied likewise, while kyogre, deoxys attack and normal forms, dialga, mewtwo, palkia, and rayquaza all have higher special attack stats

@TheTRMR Without getting in battle boosts (like from download or nasty plot) it's max special attack is 405. Anybody can boost their stats, it's the base stats that matter, and porygon z is tied with alakazam for highest special attack of non legendary pokemon. not all legendary pokemon are overpowered. while most ubers are legendary pokemon, only half are ubers. heck there a handful that are in the lowest tier in competitive battling.
