what variety of blueberry did you plant. they need a special soil mixture and at least one cross pollinizer, although there are a couple of varieties that do okay but not great without cross pollinization. nice garden.
Living down south certainly has its advantages when it comes to gardening. We've been getting a lot of rain lately so hadn't been able to plant much. Your garden looks great. Really enjoy your videos...... Donald
I don't know about LA, but here in TX the weather has been so crazy (40 degrees one day, 70 the next) that my poor garden has been suffering. Hope to see your onion update soon. :)
Sweet setup, are you going to keep it going into the winter with a hoop house? I like how you spaced everything, I can't bring myself to thin out my veggies and then it ends up getting so overcrowded. I need to learn to give my plants space!
Thanks! My garden wants to look like yours one day. :) Yes, my intention was to extend to winter. It's been SO WINDY here that last few days that it's been really hard on my (sad)hoop house structure. Will be making it more sturdy soon.
Really interetsing to see what you've put together :)
By the way, if you or anyone else who reads this is interested, I've started a blog about veggie gardening and self sufficiency, so if you're interestd, give me a yell on my you tube account or email me at theveggiedude@ h o t m a i l . c o m
cheers again mate, keep the videos coming...I think I'm addicted :)
its better that you have one up instead of none. I have to wait untill may to get out and start gardening. living in a very cold area were we have to start seedlings in december(indoors) just to be able to have a garden in May-Oct.

Thank you! Yes...Had to be raised. The soil (if you can call it that) is basically layers of crushed limestone and clay. Horrible drainage.

Thanks! Hopefully by spring I'll have the rest of the beds up. I guess it's better that I just have one now so I can figure out what I'm doing. :)
