Tito wanted to have access to aegean sea so in this lower part of yugoslavia he renamed it to macedonia just to be able to claim Greek macedonia.

@knakovski Seriously u obviously don't know anything about the ancient Greeks..... if u looked into the Greek history, u would see that most Greeks were dark haired and dark eyed while only Greeks having light/blond hair were rare... even if u look on the ancient Greek pottery, u would see that most people on those pottery were dark haired and dark eyed. And actually Alexander had brown hair because actually the ancient Greeks and even the modern Greeks aren't Nordic people u know

Have some from FYROM with highschool level education to read a script in ancient Macedonian. Result? He can't. A greek teenager? Of course that's possible. Why? Cause Ancient macedonian language derives from ancient greek. And Ancient greek is relatively close to modern greek. People of Fyrom don't have the slightest clue about Greek so they can't even read ancient macedonian!

The Greek nation was not one state. There were many city-states, like Athens, Sparta, Thebes etc. Macedonia was a Greek state that included an area larger than a city. All of the Greek states fought each other, but that does not mean they were not of the same nation.
