Looks like the Autobrake was left in and it came to stop! Sometimes it won;t disarm by pressing the brake pedals and the aircraft will just stop. Happened a couple of time to me on short runways!
From the start of the video to around 1.40 the approach was not looking nice. Steep angles spoilers armed further out but then the pilot levelled out and re-armed them for landing. I would not say that was a bad landing the only thing I would slightly criticise was the complete stop at the end on the runway, not too sure about that being a Ryanair SOP if their is no traffic too effect, I think one to many turns of the spoiler was used and it was left on too late for the plane to generate thrust.
If the gear struts bottoms out resulting in a bounce and a go around, then you have my permission to say it was a bad landing. But this was ordinary and firm, so stop the criticism.

Bad/hard landing? Why do passengers think they have the right to judge what is a good or landing when they probably don't even understand how it flies?
Every noticeable landing is a good landing, with all sorts of wind conditions each landing differs.
In fact it is likely that most landings are more than satisfactory to boeing's recomendations, but according to the idiots in the back it was out of the ordinary, like as if those guys in the front don't make enough landings in their career.
I think nearly all of my ryanair landings have been nice so far though on one or two occassions the pilot has been rough with the controls durin aproach, all good fun though lol.
Ryanair is a rude "airline", I've seen very extreme landings, specially due bad weather. I've seen how a B738 of RYR touched down and then left winglet just got 1cm to touch the ground, just horrible. But I wanna be a RYR pilot, I already have experience flying those Boeing planes, it's just a wonderful aircraft.

wouldn't say the landing was hard, but still a very nice video :)

this is probably what the ryanair pilots say... "you dont want a 'ard landing?, pay 50 pounds"

Why did this plane stop on the runway suddenly and do that so quickly?

I really like this one, thx for sharing! I agree, it could have been a little bit softer, still this is absolutely acceptable.

Damm that was some pretty fast braking!!! nice one!
jef1500 2 years ago
Don't see anything special here. No hard langin & no extensive braking. Ever feelt the force of braking during an rejected take off?

Except for speedbrake usage with flaps...
Not recommended by Boeing for economical reasons - but sometimes inevitable! Landing and braking action seems pretty normal, especially in LIRZ.
Deceleration rate is not as high as it seems.

woo intense landing!

That must be one of the shortest landingrolls on the net :-) Nice video!
