It has to be realized that Batman came out in the 90's alot of kids watched that movie it was pushed towards kids more, so we didn't care about the villians on that level, we were not worried about what they were saying or the acting, we just wanted to see Batman beat someone up that we could tell was bad. Its that simple I loved that movie as a kid and I still love that movie like most of the movies from the 90's. They had alot more character than movies now.

The thing to keep in mind about the Schumacher villains is, that wile they're good characters how close were the Burton villains (particularly the ones in RETURNS) to their comic counterparts? That being said the only Schumacher villain I'm going to defend is Jim Carrey's Riddler. Some people seem to forget that the classic Riddler (even from the comics) was very zany but they combined that with the more modern demented and slightly darker edge to the character. He was tailor made for the role.
