"Dirty son"? You should have kept the lyrics "dirty daughter". It sounds better with two syllables. And it would make more sense when you say "my sweet untouched Miranda". I hate it when someone of the opposite sex of the person who wrote the song changes the lyrics from "her" to "him", or "girl" to "boy" when covering the song. Other than that minor flaw, this is a good cover.

What really confuses me is there are so many videos like this. People who can sing and play well, but none of them memorize the song. Well...I was mostly interested in the changes it lent to the song. I don't think it took away too much of the dark context (wouldn't want that, would we?) but I just thought that a girl singing it added an interesting twist. And, of course, I, too, am a girl, so that helped with the decision. :)

That one line "You wept but your soul was willing" always gives me a chill, because it's the sort of thing that a guy might say to himself if he was, er, coercing a woman in a disadvantaged position. But if the woman is the one with wealth and beauty, and she sings "I wept but my soul was willing", it's less menacing, more clearly a mutual love.
