I am half Italian and 1/4 Scott and 1/4 Irish...my two kids are Filipino/Canadian. So...essentially, Chinese/Malay/Latino(filipino)/Scottish/Irish/Italian. 6 races blended. My kids are diverse ethnicities. I was brought up to hurl insults at each other during dinner(Italian). But I too prefer to say nice things about others. Words hurt.

@babymalai It made me cringe when I heard it too. I just have to look at his hair and laugh. The stuff we say to each other in the name of "comedy" would have had us thrown in jail. In Canada, racial jokes are often replaced by geographical jokes. Newfoundland "newfie" jokes. Cape Breton jokes. Irish jokes. Polish jokes. Scottish jokes. French jokes...oh god...french jokes. German jokes. Italian jokes. I'm Irish/Scotish...insert insults here...lol!

@babymalai Gene has a very dark sense of humor. It was meant as a joke. Gene has refered to his kids and Shannon as gentiles on the show before. For obvious legal reasons...most of Shannon and Nick's "jew" jokes about Gene are left on the editing room floor. The episode where they "roast" Gene and make really bad "jew" jokes is enough of a payback for this. Gene is only kidding and it wasn't meant to hurt anybody.

im sorry but ive read many interview where he says he was high once in his life.
and that was because he ate drugged food when he was in his teens, courtesy he didnt know the food was drugged but he said alot of times he was high once.
and he got a bad trip because of it and that was the reason he doesnt like drugs.

Gene & Cher are two of the 1 million music performers between 1960 and 1990 who made $1 million dollars, personally, in a single year, and have assets of more than $25 million today. I would guess that number is some where between 100 and 200 persons. That is less than 1/10 of one percent . I may be overestimating. There might only be 30 people from that group worth $25mill today. Of course 3/4 of them are dead!

Gene is smart man...he created himself a persona and it's just that, a character, an overconfident arrogant superstar character. If you known KISS from the begining, Gene played that card from the very begining, when he was dirt poor. Beneath all that is a very good-hearted man! I left Gene a message at the hotel in the afternoon, saw KISS perform that night and @ midnight, the phone rang. I answered it and the person on the line said he was Gene's manager and asked me what I thought of the show and what questions would I like to ask Gene. Before I knew it, he said THIS IS Gene Simmons. I will forever be a fan of his and there is no doubt in my mind that the voice I heard on the phone that night in 1977 was his!

@wsiklogfh He is the bassist for one of the most popular bands in history.Not necessarily the best. Of course I would have said at 8 years old that he was beyond human, there had to be something magical about him. But as I got older and started to understand music,I started playing at 12 I realized that their music was very simple and it was Bubble Gum rock.Meaning it was written for kids between the age of 7 and 17.
