Internet Explorer needs a complete ground up redesign. It is extremely slow to the point of being embarrassing.

Even worse than is the fact that every time you download some software a self seeking tool bar adds itself to this browser.

I gave up on Explorer a long time ago.

I see the future browsing experience for Explorer users as, ironically, a browser without a window.

IE should be diagnosed with a UTI, or "useless toolbar intrusion syndrome".

@gecko77z You do realize that apple approached ms first about settling patent disputes which is why ms gave such favourable terms to help apple out. Apple must have had a very strong case to get what they got out of ms. Also at that time ms could see that the DOJ was building a case against them. If the number 2 desktop player left the market ms would have been in the big shits. So in a way apple did outsmart ms by coercing ie and office out of them.

To the public ms was helping out the competition and to developers/customers/part makers it gave the impression apple was a solid investment because even ms would invest in them. Chip makers for example would have the confidence to sell parts to apple without worrying about apple going under and having to fight it out in court with other creditors to get cents in the dollar.

Honestly, a CS course is about as useful as the material you're taught: if you can get it when your lecturer teaches it to you, you'll be able to get it when you read it. Likewise, if you don't get it when your lecturer teaches it to you, you probably won't be able to when you read it for yourself. CS isn't easy, but it's a very independent school of scientific enquiry. If you can go back to school, go, but if not, CS is something you can learn on your own.
