This man is absolutely right. If you have a rule commanded by God/Allah, you should not try to rationalize it with logic or history or anything else. After all, you have to follow the rule anyway because it is ordered by God. No matter how stupid the rule is. If the logic could not make you change your mind, please don't apply logic to justify the rule.

This is yet another poor attempt to try and answer the secular none Islamic, atheist and mainly western attacks on Islam by offering the none believer the answerer of my faith is why I do what I do.
This is very out of date and will not work either!
What the speaker fails to acknowledge is that through the history of Islam the Islamic view has changes as times have changed. It is not as he makes out that every thing is now as it was at the time of the prophet (PBOH).
