I used to climb like this as a kid too.......until I discovered gravity!! Hopefully he keeps it up after his physics class! However, I am also shocked that such experienced climbers would ever allow anyone, much less a child, to take 1 step with no helmet. These people are what you call 'high risk' and cost the system dearly. Would you put your child in the car without a seatbelt too??? Ahhhhhhh , ignorance.

just climbed the 3rd Flatiron today - quite the rush. I'm stunned that this kid doesn't even look tired in any way. At least youth isn't being wasted on this youth! : )

The kid can climb for sure. However, shouldn't he be wearing a helmet? Even if he doesn't fall a rock could fall on him.
