My Friends SWEENEY TODD Bartlett High School 2009

He looks like a crack addicted Sweeney Todd for heavens sake! How did this man get the role?! Goodness! I mean, the stage play is fantastic. I'm a huge fan of broadways and school plays for movie genre's like this one, but you can't just pick a random person to be up on stage that obviously has no talent to hold the voice or even can dress like the role they're playing for heavens sake! I give a 3 out of 5.

This Sweeney has a good strong tenor voice, but yes, he was flat. The makeup could've been done a lot better (the make-up on the lips could've been done better). The wig is less of a concern than the acting and gestures, which could have been done finer. As for the accents, you should have tried harder and studied them better - maybe try looking at the film version? Depp is a better example of an American playing a Brit well. Ah well, still pretty good.

Hmmm... Better wigs and make-up. She needs to tone it down a bit as well. Other than that, I thought it was pretty good. I've always wanted to do a Sweeney Todd production. [sigh]

lol when he looks at audience "whisper I'll listen" and then raises his eyebrow. funny.

He's kinda flat.. I would also suggest looking into how your character would feel at this moment, it would help with your realism ( making a gesture to the crowd then he says whisper makes him look insane ) also Mrs. Lovett is slightly upstaging Sweeney with her gestures. But more likely than not, that is a director error. Other than that, great job guys.

If they were going to do the movie version Sweeney, they could've gotten a better wig...

Stage make-up is...not quite right.

Sweeney acknowledged Lovett a little too much. He's supposed to only see the razors.

But everything else is beautiful. Wonderful set and costumes, and everyone has great voices.

@HayleyBlahBlah123 yea our school would sooner do High School Musical than Sweeney. it sucks. this school did a great job with the production, i dont like Sweeney's wig though. its weird. lol but other than that i liked this a lot
