Very scenic and I really liked how you put the whole thing together switching from the map and elevation views to the filmed footage. Enjoyed it...Dash Riprock
@medicjimr bad??? how about, "not boring!" But yes, there are more hills than one expects. Someone quipped, correctly I think, that when the SHT was planned the architects deliberately routed it up every available hill within a mile of the shoreline! The mud you get for free, without much effort.
@medicjimr yes, the elevation is surprising...not at all the image one has of Minnesota. Other interesting thing about the trail is the diversity. Even in a one day hike you can go through two or three different "zones" of types of vegetation and nature of the trail. Interesting!
Super. Loved that Baptism Falls--worth the effort for that alone, Grizz. Well, worth the effort except for that beaver dam (wouldn't use of the everpresent Crocs been ideal there?). There is no better trip than one with friends and family, especially sons. I'd guess you'll always remember this, and the other, trips you've enjoyed with your boys.
Awesome video presentation, Prof. It looks like y'all had a fantastic time. thank you for sharing with us.
the gentleman shown here at counter 6:08 looks to have an Osprey Exos pack. How did it work for him and is he happy with it? I am in the market and have my eye on the Osprey Exos 58 Pack.
@convert2010 He goes by MrGreen over at HammockForums, you'd have to ask him. He knows his gear though, and if he's using it, my guess is that he's liking it.
@keikepono111, those chairs are made by Alite, they are the 'monarch' model. I have one. It is awesome, comfortable, packs away small, and light. ( about 16 or 18 ounces).

@coolkayaker1 I did a recon trip out there in knock-off Crocs, nearly lost them in the mud. But yes, this was a great trip we'll all remember.
