I'd like to point out that we borrowed the prosumer equipment from friends and bought all our lights at Home Depot. The only thing going for us is that we went to film school and got trained on how to use the stuff well, but we are definitely not a professional production company. I honestly don't think that our clean look is going to win out over something that's better written and more fun to watch. So I really doubt that the "average videographer" (whatever that means) needs to worry.
Now that the entry deadline is over & the production quality of some of the final entries has changed the scope of this challenge, does the average videographer have any chance against the latest professionally produced spots?.
Pass this message on & tell Heinz that we'll all be watching the final 15 choices to see if they embody the contest's true spirit & are not just a platform for established marketers.
There are some cameras out there that make ugly people look good. And well I am sick of the camera men that are shooting farting, ketchup covered tooth brushes, and zombies. This commercial is not the best, but it is in focus.
