  • 1:43 ... NPH!

  • 2:20 Is that...C.O.W. Boys of Moo-Mesa?

  • NYPD Blue and Cluelss

  • You're making me cry a lot and laugh a little

  • I apologize for the screw-up i was so tired by then. What i meant to say is. ABC will be 60 on Feb 9th 2013. sorry for the misprint. Enjoy.

  • Just wait till Feburary 9th, 2013 ABC will turn 50 and it's still memorable from classics lke Ozzie & Harriet, The Fugitive, Batman, Happy Days, Dynasty, Home Improvement, NYPD Blue, Grey's Anatomy, & Roots. to today's excrement like Desparate Housesluts & Dancing With the D-list Stars. That's ABC for you.

  • @yogafan6500 Um, ABC turned 50 in 2003.

  • This bit of television history was well done. Seeing some of the shows again, brings back memories. Hope you have more like this. ( And from other stations as well. )

  • ABC made new shows in 1993, like Lois and Clarke, Free Willy, Sonic the Hedgehog (or Sonic SatAM) and Boy Meets World. The next year, Sister Sister was on and the year after that came The Drew Carey Show.

  • @hamursh I almost forgot about The Critic starring Jon Lovitz premiered in 1994.

  • @hamursh It Stinks Jay Sherman

  • @deangelomywayentfan Have you even seen one single episode of The Critic? I saw all 23 episodes on YouTube!

  • Dear Kartoon Klub, I watched on ABC TV"American Bandstand","Lunch With Soupy Sales"/"The Soupy Sales Show", ,"Batman","Wonder Woman","Barney Miller","Bewitched","Rin Tin Tin","McHale's Navy","Rocky & His Friends",'The Magic Land Of Alakazam","The Magic Ranch","Sweet Hostage"etc.

  • Unfortunealy..on ABC TV's 40th anniversary tv tribute.The producers did no

real tribute to the network's kids tv shows and they only honored the sitcoms of

the 1970's,80's,and 90'.sThey completly ignored their own kids shows and sitcoms of the past.

  • I will never forget ABC Sports either:

Monday Night Football (Frank Gifford and Al Michaels)

Wide World of Sports with Jim McKay

    College Football with Keith Jackson.

Now since ESPN produces sports for ABC, everything went to hell.

Sports on ABC is not what I remembered.

  • As a journalism student, aspiring TV anchorman and TV news buff...

I see Peter Jennings and Charlie Gibson.

Gibson was Jennings' longtime substitute anchor while he was the anchor on Good Morning America; now, he is Peter's permanent replacement.

As for the legend himself - Jennings - you will always be my muse in a fucked-up cable news world we're living in.

  • Finally I get to say this:

    HAPPY 56TH ANNIVERSARY ABC!

  • Dear Buck Penn, ABC,CBS And NBC TV didn't acknowledge any of the other

kids tv shows on their other anniversary tv tributes and they

    never will.

  • They forgot to show a clip from "Super Circus", another early ABC show.

  • continued...

    "Primetime Live"

    "Wide World of Sports"

    "Family Feud"

    "Nightline"

    "Family Matters"

    "Home Improvement"

"The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"

  • List of shows I saw...

    "Disneyland"

    "The Mickey Mouse Club"

    "Davy Crockett"

    "Zorro"

    "The Flintstones"

    "The Bugs Bunny Show"

    "Schoolhouse Rock"

    "Rocky and Bullwinkle"

  • Those were several of the shows I saw.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS.

  • The voiceover is Brian Cummings, who does a lot of Disney trailers. In case anyone is wondering about the music, it's from the score to another Disney film, "The Rocketeer" by James Horner.

  • 1:24-1:27 What happened to that skiier, anybody know about that?

  • Any answers, Yet?

  • Sounds like the Disney guy to me. Too bad ABC went to hell shortly after their 45th anniversary, when they gave in to the stupid bug craze.

  • On that 40th anniversary tv tribute to ABC TV?

They didn't acknowledge or even honor their

    kids tv shows..Damn!

  • this was not for air

  • Could that be Disney's announcer Mark Elliot doing the v.o.? (Perhaps not... Disney didn't acquire ABC 'til '96.)

  • It's not Marc Elliott. He was the main voice over at CBS during that time, as he had been for about a decade prior. The guy we hear is also prolific in his national work, but I never knew his name.
