Josef Greindl war ein sehr grosser Künstler. Ich habe ihn in mehrere partien in Bayreuth mitgemacht und auch noch mit ihn gesprochen beim Staatsempfang. Das war recht schön....

Marke, Landgraf, Heinrich der Vogler, Daland, Hagen, Fafner, Gurnemanz.

Leider nicht als Sachs. Hier macht er das sehr schön (auch natürlich Dank an Wieland Wagner).

I've seen Erwin Wohlfart as Mime in the Ring of 1965. A real actor who made salto's on the stage!

Probably the greatest Mime I've ever heard, and a worthy successor to Gerhard Stolze. Such a tragedy he died so young.
