I have seen such bikes start at second try after staying in a barn for 5 years. Change liquids, connect a working battery, turn the engine 3-4 times, switch on ignition and it fires. They were made for use in a climate where a dud engine was a life-threatening disaster.

Too short, great film wish I had seen lots more. Those Urals are great bikes. I donot know much about the mechanics of it, but they seem to be simple
