Expanding the Woodlands Causeway is going to congest the ENTIRE Johor Bahru City Centre, given to the huge amounts of vehicles.
Anyway, It's a better option for tour buses / vehicles going towards Kuala Lumpur,
it's direct and avoids Johor Bahru's congested roads.
Also, try taking the second link on holidays or holiday eves. Given to how far the Malaysian custom is from the bridge, taking the second link when it's heavily congested is going to take longer than the Woodlands' one anyway
